1 thing about this whole argument is it really is a no win situation for the 2012 team. They will never play and can never beat the '92 team which is already undefeated. That team can never lose and is what it is.

Team USA could EASILY lose to Spain in a month and lose the Gold. This isn't really my opinion or anything but they are only about -550 to win Gold and Spain is +700 or so. Not like its 4 out of 7 like the playoffs, just a 1 game scenario so anything can happen.

Kobe is gonna look like a real ass for saying that if they do lose. Probably should've waited until they had the gold.

Saw someone talking about this yesterday. Apparently Yugoslavia was the best possible team that could have been on the floor against them in '92 (won silver in '88, World Champions in '90, Euro champions in '91) but they broke up after 1991 (and by they I mean the country). Part of that old Yugoslavian squad became the Croatia squad that won Silver in '92. Really wish I could remember who mentioned that.

I was gonna say, regardless of whether or not he's right (about his own ability or if they would win), it's just refreshing to see an athlete giving an honest answer to something like this, instead of giving a no content PC response.

anyone who picks the '12 team is embarrassing themselves. you want to argue lebron over jordan, fine. I know you're wrong, but at least you can make some points in your favor. but arguing '12 over '92?

drexler's speed and pippen's D are being massively underrated itt. and "dominate down low" is a huge understatement. whatever advantage the '12 backers are projecting at PG (imo ignoring that the DT doesn't have to play at the '12 team's pace and that magic would post up all day) is negated at sg. overall, 3/4/5 goes to the DT and depth goes to the DT (by 1 mirrion percent). it really wouldn't be close.

you '12 backers, how do you envision the game going? are you guys going to play your best 5 all 40 minutes?

No one on '92 can slow down CP3, Bron, and KD. Bron would punk Jordan inside and KD would stroke over him with ease. Cp3 wouldn't break a sweat tearing stockton apart.

'92 has pretty big advantage up front and more depth, but loldepth.

Bron and KD can play 40 mins easy.

Fat Magic and Brokeback Bird would present problems tho.
