This one should be pretty epic. We are looking at very firm and fast conditions at the home of golf. Some of the fairways are faster than the greens. It's hard to say if all this will help or hurt the bombers, since getting the ball to stop is going to be an issue. If they winds lay down there could be super low scoring, but if not given the firm conditions it could play tough. I don't know, this feels like a complete crap shoot to me, but it's going to be fun.

Get your lotion and tissues handy for some shots of the course:

Hopefully the LIVtards don't create too much of a ruckus this week. The R&A was proactive in banning 3-leg Greg from the champions dinner. (I had no idea they even did a champions dinner) Phil wasn't banned but he stayed away as well, but they were there in spirit.

To be fair to all sides, the Old Course does have at least one hater:

Good OP. Apparently they only do the Champion's Dinner when the Open is at St. Andrews.

Never knew that aghh Daly looks like Santa

Boy will they be upset if a LIV golfer wins this. It sets up well for a few of them

Guessing like the norm in 5 of last 6, winner is probably -15 or so. Hoping for massive winds and stimp at 13. The course otherwise is cake. Cant wait till tiger is ousted.

Greens throughout Scotland never roll more than about a 10 on the stimp. Any faster than that and the Scottish gales start blowing the balls on the green. And even with greens that slow in 2010 at St. Andrews there was a wind delay on Friday because balls wouldn't stay in place.

Yea, a bit excessive I was just stating they need a challenge. Really don't want 5 under a day. I love a good ole -3 under grind.

I meant to put this thread in sporting events. Is there a mod who can move it?

I think Tiger contends and wouldn't be surprised to see him win.

Winner- Tiger, Rahm or Koepka
Sleeper- Garcia, Harrington
Fade- Smith and Thomas

For some reason I have a feeling the winner is going to be someone completely random.

Ugh, am I the only one with audio issues? Driving me nuts.

And we need some wind. Too soft right now.

So far, I think every one of Tiger's drives has gone left. It looks like he's trying to hit a power fade, and it's just not turning back.
