We can discuss the tournament here. A COVID major. Could be the last one for a while??!!

Winged Foot Golf Club, Mamaroneck, N.Y., Sept. 14-20, 2020:

BETTING FORECAST:
(prices betfair exchange)

Dustin Johnson: 10.0

I think bookies favourite Big Dustin is good value at odds of 9/1. He is so visibly doped up on paroxetine the choke factor is somewhat out of the equation as well as no fans in the stands. Chuck a few quid on.

Eldrick "El Tigré" Woods: 65.0

Each way bet is the clever punt here. We all know Ol' Tiges can munch his way though enough painkillers to wheel his creaking carcass out and make a run when a US open and major number 16 is at stake. Excellent value at 64/1. Not out of the question.

Thomas Paul "Tommy" Fleetwood: 38.0

A good catholic boy. A good Southport lad. I think he's got one or two majors in him. His beautiful head of hair alone might carry him to victory on Sunday.

Masuyama Hideki: 36.0

Product of the Kochi Prefecture, young Hideki is blessed with a wonderful temperament and lovely fundamentals. A polite boy -- brings great honour to his father.

AVOID: Roidheads Dechambeau/McIlroy/Day etc. Now is not the time for raw power - lean times are times of endurance, patience, a deft touch around the greens. Expect the roid heads to wither under a cloud of their own protein farts.

HAIL MARY PICK: ZACH JOHNSON 460.0.

Hooray! A real thread.

Does the stream look really dark to anyone else? I'm on Peacock. Too lazy to get up off the couch and try usopen.com.

Edit: usopen.com looks better - at least for the 6,10,x stream. Looks like they cranked up the brightness. The contrast out there is terrible. Probably smoke + low clouds.

I have a bet with a friend for a small amount. Must win. I have Rahm, DJ and Morikawa and he has JT, DeChambeau and Schauffele.

Hopefully it's a sweat on Sunday.

The ‘HELLO!’ back from the green to Reed on the tee on 7 to let him know he had an ace was allowable.

And another hole-in-one on the 7th for Zalatoris!

On the broadcast this morning they mentioned having to set the course up easier today to hopefully get everyone through the round before running out of daylight. With the tournament being later in the year they've lost a couple hours of light.

Carnage will come. Hopefully.

Earlier they showed a stat: Most major starts without a win since 1995... of course, 3 in the top 5 that were listed were Englishmen.

Due to COVID they must have been forced to use the tournament committee from the John Deere Classic to set up the course.

Phil is only 12 behind Lee after round one of this tournament, so Lee will have to make sure he maintains the lead before round four.

lol...as if phil is going to make it past round 2

edit: does the bet count using phil's 2 round score and Lee's 4 round score?

have no money down, but JT has the game to win this tournament of golf

trying to guess who else. the uk euros are too accustomed to wide links fairways or playing the ground to roll. i'm actually surprised young Collin struggled as much as he did. didn't watch any of his round but seems his type of game can fit this course. also never rule out Rahmbomb from showing up at the end, as well as Xander
