Young kid from England. I'm actually surprised but it's the first round in the 90s since 2002 Bethpage. 1st ever at Shinnecock I believe. I would have thought there were several over the years. A pretty good player who has 3 great rounds can qualify. Or even 1 in the case of this guy. It was just a sectional qualifier in England.

I love US Open's when the scores are like this. It needs to be a challenge. The interesting thing is that the tee shots don't seem to be much of an issue but it's just flat-out hitting greens. See Phil hitting 13/14 fairways for +7.
