I'm getting back into poker as I used to play 200NL 6 max around a decade ago. A lot has changed from a strategy perspective and I spent the past couple months working my way up from 5NL ---> 30NL with shots at 50NL. It seems that the regs at 50NL are better and there are more of them so I want to start diving deeper into strategy to improve in the cash game format.

I've been reading up on new strategies but consuming free resources for the most part. My goal is to purchase the most cost effective software that will allow me to improve that has good cost benefit in relation to the stakes I'm playing.

One of the big things I would like are to preflop hand ranges in terms of defending 3bets, 4 betting, defending BB etc. I have PDF charts but thinking a software like Flopzilla may accomplish this in a consolidated format?

Also, would like to get better at GTO strategy such as bet sizing without breaking the bank (PokerSnowie?)

Obviously I have to purchase a tracking software & only reason I haven't is I will be buying a separate poker desktop.

gto+ is all you need

I'm confused, why are people pairing GTO+ and flopzilla for example if GTO+ can do everything? I'm assuming that flopzilla may be a lighter type of software that people may be used to. I'm having trouble understanding the relationship between the two.

flopzilla is an equity calculator, nothing more, it used to be super useful before solvers came out cause you could visualize ranges all throughout the hand, see how equities shifted on different runouts, look at range compositions, all that good stuff, but you can do that with solvers now

what you can't do with hu solvers is look at all that stuff in the context of a multi-way spot or quickly calculate all-in equities, hu or mw.

you see them paired up because they're developed by the same guy and work with each other, i.e. you pair them up and you can transfer data from one program to the other in real time as you're working and changing things

btw the support is top notch for both and you get regular updates. it's 75$ for gto+ and 25 for flopzilla, might as well drop the hundred and support the fantastic guy behind these. when other people were greedy, this guy released an equally feature rich piece of software for a fraction of the cost and offers great customer support to boot

cool, I likely get both of them then. looks like GTO+, Flopzilla, and a Poker Tracker / Holdem manager are next up on this list.
