Hello.
Few words about me
I am a professional programmer with rich scientific background. Most bulk of my work was in field of Statistics, Machine Learning and Big Data science. Poker was always something more than just a hobby for me. I love this game. One day I decided to work at the junction of programming and poker.
I've found a team and we made a lot of interesting stuff. Unfortunately I cannot tell you everything about this partnership for obvious reasons. I also will not disclose the names of my partners. I can assure they are winning mid-stakes regulars. In general terms we have worked on different automation tools for existing software like HRC, Flopzilla, Simple Postflop etc. Some parts of our project was implemented with recognition technologies and OCR. That was a cool experience. But it's time to move on!
What I'm interested in
In short, I want to apply my analytical competences to deep game research. A lot of things could be done and I'll just list a small part of it:
- research with Machine Learning methods for finding heuristics in GTO solutions building
- Clustering of players for extracting styles of playing. Having a big amount of stats it's possible to find typical players profiles with their own weaknesses and strengths. Knowing the key "markers" of each profile may allow us to classify a new players basing on pretty small amount of hands very precisely.
- Researching of key factors that influence EV the most. Using statistical instruments it's possible to make this analysis in different slices: by players groups / by "vs players group" / by positions / betting lines / ...
etc.
Who I'm looking for
I'm looking for a long-term partnership with a team of top regulars that want to push the limits (in all senses) using the power of Analytics, Machine Learning and Programming. Ideally it should be a small group (1 to 4-5) of working hard high-stakes players who lack the capabilities of existing software. Your own ideas (as well as discussion at all) are highly welcome!
