I wont spend a lot of time on the lobbies. That is my thought - some simple gray-shade desaturation.

i cant remember what its called but somewhere there is software that can be downloaded that allows you to record what is on your screen...you know so you can use it for making vids n such. I am going to make a video so i need this software.

I would greatly appreciate it if anyone could direct me to it.

I think the line is a bit blurry as to whats acceptable, and there are numerous other (existing and new) 2+2 SN's that are very specific to a program/site. I have been warned for doing things in the past, which many other posters in the software forum do on a daily basis, and to a more extreme degree. I think if I started a new OP today called "TiltBuster Themes and Mod's Support" i would get in major trouble. Yet there are numerous developer/programmer specific threads here. Even a "iBolide Themes Manager" for OnGame, iirc.

I pride myself on always helping 2+2'ers with free options before I suggest something they would need to pay for. Other posters in this forum that sell software, aren't necessarily as helpful before they post the spam.

Go ahead and get out the ban hammer. But it better be more than just me, imo.

You would start gathering infarctions / eventual ban if you posted one-line links to theme shop whenever anyone mentioned anything to do with "how do I make / install a therme" of course

FWIW, I have no idea if history carries any weight with other mods - but if I had no idea who you were I'd be more delete-happy than if you were posting under a 5K+ post account that has provided much help / free stuff in the past. I think the fozzy account is the better - but I can't estimate the value from posting under "TiltBuster"...

I know, like I said - the Fozzy71 name carries more weight - I was just kinda tryin to provoke, tbh. I will be less quick to flame, with this ID, imo. I already vowed to be less spammy (which rarely happened, imo), and I will continue to do as promised to Sam. I may switch back to fozzy tomorrow, no clue. I just wanted to stir the pot.

I am being very serious though, with the issues I bring up. And I wouldn't mind a bit of clarification as to what is acceptable. If Andrez can have a dedicated thread that links people to buy his $20 themes software for ongame, am I allowed to make a TiltBuster/PSThemes support thread?? I really don't mean to be a ****, but that is a huge advantage to have a thread here with a software/website URL name right in the thread title.

Sorry to drag you into it - but I think the line has been blurrred for way too long. I don't even really want a dedicated thread like I mentioned - but I think its biased if I werent able to, given the current state of the SW forum.

Do what you gotta do my man. You are always very helpful and heck super fast I think you should have whatever anyone else has. Now for making a thread about your stuff is a great idea and I for one think you should be able to do this if others are doing it as well.

Camtasia is the one people use the most - it's free for 30 days.

Camstudio is freeware. It's a good prog but has less editing features.

FWIW I know no reason why you currently would not be able to. Whether you want to rather than continue in the monster FTP mods thread is I suppose up to you.

I'd rather not press the issue hard with the reds - else we may just end up with a single monster thread for all HUDs / all trackers / All Mods etc. with no site names allowed - that I do not want.

Yeah, you will need VirtualDub in addition if you want to do any editing / post-processing of CamStudio vids (this is not a bad software to have to hand anyway)

That's fine dave. I wan't trying to start a ****-storm. I just know that I have been reprimanded for things, which others do repeatedly. Perhaps i was wrongly assuming it would be considered a spam thread, if I was the one starting it. I will discuss the idea of a single thread with Bar in more detail.

It came from a million wanabe pros spamming links to their blogs in posts.

many posts with url to blog = high google ranking given the volume of 2p2 - single link in profile = equal ranking for all.

blame the blog spammers imo.

I'm not even sure if that is the correct definition of the rule myself, but I do know I should remove links to blogs on sight.
