Well my strategy worked to perfection, but I still lost...
Managed to drag it out through 20/40, 30/60 and 50/100 losing less than 500 (out of 3000) chips. Then 1st hand of going into super-maniac-lag-tard mode my opponent picks up AAQ5 vs my garbage and my (35:65 dog) garbage didn't hold up.
Even so, I think my plan was sound as normally he'd have had to fold quite a bit before calling on a 65:35 shot, so I'd guess my strategy has somewhere between 30%-40% chance of beating even a very good PLO8 player.
