Thanks guys, seems to work fine now.
Just out of curiosity, what kind of system specs do people have? PAHUD is seriously lagging everything now when I use it on 6 tables, and I have 1 gig of ram and a 3200+ AMD CPU. I'm told it could be because of the new FTP update, and when they release a later version of PAHUD in a week or two it may run better, but is my PC getting too old for this? Or are people having no problems with similarly spec'd machines?

guys is it me or do you think if this thread was stuck to the first page it would get more use? Is there a rule saying you can not sticky monthly threads? If so I am sorry for harping on this however seeing easy posts get made and everyone jumping on them to post here it seems to just sticky this thread would make more first timers to this area post here.

No?

No?
Like I said the last time you asked this, unlocked stickies aren't allowed. (I am aware that a couple forums have unlocked stickies, but those are the exceptions. The general rule is no unlocked stickies. _dave_ said he can't sticky this thread.)

I don't know what the answer is, but something needs to be done, imo. I use 100 threads/forum script - and I can probably browse the first 100 threads now, and find 10 that haven't been answered, 10 that should have been posted in a main/different thread (or site), and at least 10 that have been posted/answered repeatedly.

I have basically quit browsing the main SW index now. It usually ends with me either tilted or flaming someone - neither of which is a good outcome. So, many noobs got their wish, and I dont troll/flame them anymore. But, I have almost entirely stopped replying/answering to all (even the good OP's) posts.

*Update:

12 Threads w/ no replies
30+ w/ < 10 replies (easy ?'s, prev answered, bad OP's, etc)

I can sticky it (the SW allows me to anyway) - but IIRC it is generally not allowed.

Fozzy, Lateski, TYVM - first use of banhammer on the trojanspammer

I can easy put up a sticky directing people to this thread, but I feel it will make little difference while this is on the front page anyway...

Maybe we need something better names than "easy posts go here" ? OOT title is lol

I can easy move posts in here, but it needs to be done very quickly, unless I'm gonna answer myself - or it ends up a page or two back in here where no-one will see it / respond...

I guess I might set up some form of page-scraper so I can get a notification whenever a new thread gets created... that might be rather sweet.

Guess that means I shouldn't extract/install those RAR files?

today i got a GGE909 PC Recoil Pad from walmart to use for stts. i set up a bunch of keys in ft shortcuts and binded the controller to them. it didn't work even though the controller was testing fine. so, i downloaded xpadder, set up the keys in there. now it works in random programs like notepad, messengers, browsers, etc, but it won't work in ft. any ideas?

can you not map the controller directly to FTS? what does it show up as in Device manager, a HID compliant game controller?

its listed 3 times in device manager. once as hid compliant came controller and twice as usb human interface device.

i could map it directly to fts if i knew what text to use for the keys. you have to type everything in manually into the interface. no push button.

Have you got any other gamepads?

If not, try:

Joy1, Joy2 and so on for however many buttons it has.

Easier (and safer) may be running a simple testing script such as:

Code:
#NoEnv

Joy1::
Joy2::
Joy3::
Joy4::
Joy5::
Joy6::
Msgbox, %A_ThisHotkey%
return
to see if these are the buttons (and if so, which button corresponds to what Joy number)

i dunno much about scripts, but i tried joyx with no success. xpadder shows names for the keys, like button x, up, down, etc, but none of that seems to work either. i remember once someone posting a program that read gamepad keys, but i tried for about an hour to find it with no luck.

do not run xpadder or any other button mapping program - those will stop it sending Joyx hotkeys events. With *only* HID compliant game controller active, they should work.

What do you get if you open up the windows game controller applet in control panel?

thanks man. that worked. i'll just mess around on free tables to get all the keys worked out.

The little script above will tell you what they are (you will need to extend it to the number of buttons, I guess it has more than 6) - just copy/paste to notepad, save as something.AHK and run

ok, i ran the script, but i don't see much. if i go under "hotkeys and their methods" i see joypoll - - joy1, etc. i was able to figure out all the regular buttons though, but not the arrow pad/joystick. do those typically have a different prefix?

The script shouldn't do anything unless you hit a button - then oit should pop up a messagebox saying what Joy number you hit

The arrow buttons may well just be Up, Down, Left, Right - like they are on a keyboard.

A joystick is likely an axis control - see the overcards BetPot page for some code to access this, but IDK if FTS supports any axis controllers...

Is there no way to make it so the posts you move are put at the bottom of this thread and shown as unread posts?

no, AFAIK

They get merged in date/time order into the target thread (this one) - so it will likely show an unread post (unless you've read the noob thread already) it won't be at the end.

I could always just quote them and make a new post containing them at the end myself?

Still working on scraper/notification script

and hopefully given time, people will learn they get a faster / better response posting random Qs in here?

Yea, that was what I was going to suggest if you said there was no other way to do it.

There will always be a lot of first-time posters to deal with. If people don't learn (you move a post of theirs and then they make another post that belongs in the thread), (temp)banhammer imo.

Should we just not even respond beyond saying "this goes in the thread"?

Hmmm...I think, this is the monthly, where I should post

"Hey all,

I am playing now on Tony G Poker. Is there a Bet/Fold/Allin Script with AHK or something else out there? I used PartySNGHelper on PP and without such a tool it is not really playable.

I tried some scripts, that I found, for example the LittleTitanHelper. But there only work the fold Hotkey.

And I am too stupid to build my own.

Any ideas/helps/links? Somebody who would update the LittleTitanHelper to a LittleTonyGHelper? Price?

Thanks a lot!

Sascha"
