Try the HUD Options > Tables Preferences... > [x] Force On Top options to stick the HUD to the table.

The duplicate hands is probably because you have hands stuck in the hand history folder or because you improperly configured the archive folder in the same path as an auto import folder. This creates a never ending loop.

Uncheck "Import from Subfolders" in the auto-import settings.

Move the files in the handhistory folder to your \hmarchive folder and import them via import file or import from folder.

Try a new session with auto-import. A new handhistory file should be generated.


Your \HMArchive is likely not in your \Holdem Manager directory. We normally suggest you use C:\HMArchive, but you may have put it anywhere. Make certain the archive folder is not a sub-folder of one of the auto import folders.

To verify the location: Options > Configure Auto Import Folders > Edit > Archive Folder: ___________________

Thanks! Did everything like you suggested and will report back if the problem continues.
About the 2nd problem with HUD disappearing occasionally, I already have force on top (x). Don`t know if it could have something to do with my 2 monitor split-screen desktop..

Hi, thanks for the reply

However I was interested in a different situation. I'm wondering about those situations where I was favorite on the flop but did not go all in. Is there a way to filter for your equity in the pot on the flop/turn without it being an all-in hand?

You haven't updated in a long time. That is a very old bug.

I was wondering if there is a way I can add a tab or something to HEM. Under reports, there is a sub screen that lists recent hands you are in. My sessions are usually 1500-3500 hands. I would like to review problem hands after, but you only have the options of "last 100" and "last 500". Anyway to customize that to like last 2K or 4K or something?

You can filter any way you want and then click the [x] All button to load all the hands from the row selected above. If you want to review your last session go to the Sessions tab and right-click the session and choose Update All Filters to Session Date and Time Range. Now you can go to the Reports tab and the Date filter button will have a date/time range listed for the session instead of 'All Hands'. Now only that session will be shown on the Reports tab and you can load [x] All hands in the lower window.

Hello guys, I got a fish question and guess this is the right tank to ask.

So I got my Poker Tracker 3 , after half an hour fighting I managed to make it import my hands from pokerstars ( strangely it didnt like the fact that they were all in czech language, so I had to change my client language to english )

But what I am fighting now is the HUD. From what I read I understand theres some Ace Hud program for this too, but also that Poker Tracker 3 has some built in HUD, which should be enough for me. So I read some .pdf from pokertracker and it says that if I got my auto hands import running, then the HUD should somehow appear in my pokerstars client after few hands. Well couple dozens hands played, even tried the Stop Hud and Start Hud buttons, but nothing is happening to my PS client.
What am I missing ?

Windows 7 64bit btw, but I guess it doesnt matter.

Having some HEM problems. When it loads it's saying that I need to activate my acct. Then it says it can't reach the website and directs me to "holdemmanager.net/registration" which seems shady b/c it can't be accessed from holdemmanager.com. Anyone else having this problem?

That is our former registration site.

Please try using our site to register your current/new license. If your code isn't there already you can upload it manually and then reset the code whenever necessary.

It sounds like you are having proxy problems:

Make sure windows is fully updated and change your Windows Control Panel > Regional Settings Format to English (USA).

1) Open your Internet Explorer and go to Tools -> Internet Options -> Connections and click on "LAN-Settings" at the bottom.
2) Uncheck every box in the small new menu and click ok.
3) Try to register HM again.

If that doesn't work try to enable the [x] Auto-Detect option and try again.


If you continue to have registration issues, please send your Reg.log file from the C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\Logs folder to support@holdemmanager.com

If your Windows is hiding known file extensions the file will simply be called 'reg'.

Wondering if anyone has/ could write a script that would auto open my stats tab and leave it up. I do not chat or look at it and playing cash games have no use for the info tab and having to click the stats tab for every table I open starts to be a pain after a while. Thanks.

The scripts that auto-select info tab should be real easy to modify (just move the x coordinate left a bit) - if you can point out one you have working?

FWIW I'm currently manually selecting the tab for every table, it does get old lol.

i currently use stars hotkeys, which has the auto refresh info tab. thanks

when i try to open HEM since a few days, a massage telling me "The following error oocured when trying to open database: Failed to establish a connection to 127.0.0.1 (Server)"

I didnīt change any settings, so what am i supposed to do?

This is usually a firewall or windows update issue. Which Operating System, Firewall, and Anti-Virus are you using?


Make sure windows is fully updated and change your Windows Control Panel > Regional Settings Format to English (USA).

The secondary logon service is a standard windows service which is available on every windows computer. In the latest versions it is not started automatically. You need to start it via control panel > administrative tools > services > secondary logon > right-click > start AND right-click > properties > startup type: automatic.

First try to reboot.

If no help, try this:

Start > Programs > PostgreSQL > 8.x > Stop Service

Start > Programs > PostgreSQL > 8.x > Start Service

If that doesnt help delete the \postgresql\8.x\data\postmaster.pid file, if you see it.

Add exceptions to the windows firewall, even if it is off. If you have a 3rd party firewall, do the equivalent or uninstall it temporarily - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...ender+Problems

Please try following these FAQs, step by step:

If that doesn't help you will probably have to reinstall PostgreSQL completely and reimport your hands using these instructions

1) Uninstall PostgreSQL from the Windows Control Panel.
2) Use our combo installer to reinstall PostgreSQL. Make sure you un-check Holdem Manager during installation. http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloa...ager_Setup.exe

If that installer fails to install PostgreSQL, please reinstall PostgreSQL using the following instructions:
A) Start > Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt > Right-Click > Run As Administrator

B) Reboot.

I suck at searching so I apologize in advance if this has been covered.. There are random screen names that my HEM HUD won't recognize as having hands with. The HUD will say that I have zero hands with that person even though I can search their sn within my database and pull up the hands that we've played together without any issue. Its happening fairly regularly as well, to a number of different names. Any thoughts or advice?

This is/was a bug in previous releases where the HUDs were showing all 0 or Null stats.

Please update to the latest version - http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloads/HmUpdate.exe

If you still get empty/null stats try to create a new database to be sure your current database hasn't been corrupted.

*Try creating a new UTF DB - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...elete+Database
*Now import a small portion of your \HMArchive so you can see if the problem exists in the new DB - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...6+Export+Hands
*If the new DB seems to work properly, you will want to import the rest of your archives to the new DB, export/import the hands from the old DB to the new DB, and export/import any player notes and tourney summaries - and then delete the old DB.

I'd follow this suggestion first, I have the same problem occasionally and it fixes the problem:
