there's gotta be an easier way to set the -D parameter than registry hax. I'll have a look tomorrow when I've got my Windows machine on again.

I actually want to move the program and not just the data. This approach doesn't do that right?

What does the
Code:
net user postgres /delete
do? Uninstalling from control panel isn't enough?

The Postgres install also creates a Windows user ("postgres" obv - if you go to Users in CP, you would actually see a postgres user profile) to run the Postgres service, and it is just easier to delete that profile completely and re-install from scratch, rather than messing about with modifying the existing user.

Right, you will need to use the reinstall method. I used to have a good success ratio when moving databases and/or the entire installation folder to other drives, as long as the DB was functioning properly before the backup/move and I was using the exact same sql installer version.

Thanks for all the advice guys.

Is there any benefit/detriment from defragging a drive with postgresql on it?

AFAIK it can only help to defrag, after you have vacuum'd and reindexed. Just make sure you stop the postgresql service before defragging. If you have it installed on a SSD you should not defrag your SSD.

I did the backup & restore. When I start HEM it says it needs to update the DB so I can delete individual hands and/or sessions. I think I did this a long time ago. Running 1.11.05.

The DB update crashes and says it is out of memory. I had this problem before when running a vaccum/analyze. But the backup/restore made the DB a lot smaller so I think pgAdmin did some maintenance before/during the backup.

If I skip the update, importing hands doesn't work. I can look at yesterday's sessions though. And TST uses the DB just fine to scan tables.

Any ideas?

Might not be related to your hand import problem, but HEM stopped importing HH's for me unless I close and restart it - it's been like this for a while (across more than one or two updates), I could not figure out why so I just open HEM, close it, and then run it once more.

Yes I've used the search function on 2+2 and google, and nothing has given me what I am looking for. Obviously a lot of people on here table 12,16,24,etc at a time, and I tip my hat off to them I think that is pretty impressive. Anything past 4 and I'm going crazy. My question(s) are:

1. If you have an avg computer monitor, are you tileing or stacking? If tileing, how do you see the hands, board, everything? Isn't it too small? If stacking, doesn't FT bring the table where action is required to the front? So if you are in the middle of playing a big pot, won't tables keep poppin up in front of the one that you are actually concentrating on? How do you deal with this/solve this? Do you ignore all other tables while in the middle of that big hand?

2. Is there a program that will allow you to have the computer auto fold specific hands in certain positions, etc. and alert you when you have a hand that you have told it you would like to play? example: aa-qq only utg, etc.

Thank you

It is definitely not something I would pay for, with cash out of my pocket.

I have been having fun with it so far. My brother has an iphone, and his girlfriend saw my ipad and said, 'what's that?'. I said, 'it's an over-sized iphone, without the phone'.

I didn't like the iPhone until I also mysteriously obtained an iPad and now I traded my blackberry for the wife's iPhone, lol. The browser is amazing compared to the blackberry. Typing emails not so much but the iPad definitely serves a purpose. The living room "quick order some pizza or google something etc" laptop is now obsolete

Is there a way to get a sharkscope-like graph for MTTs using OPR data ?

I find OPR data is more accurate (mostly because of deals).

If there is a way to get the data from PS/FTP (to count KO's, rebuys, etc), that would be even better (with parsing the sng/sats/MTTs).

I would like to get a precise graph for this year 3-4k MTTs i played.

Willing to pay for someone building such script or making the work with excel/etc for me. PM me.

Can I set up my computer so that my Stars tourney tables will open automatically to a certain size I want? It is a pain having to re-size them manually; I have to make them smaller. I have table ninja if I can do it through that. Thanks.
