Hey everybody.

Second day i got a problem trying to play poker via PokerStars software.

Usually i play poker from my home pc. But this holydays i tried to play from my girlfriend pc. I've successfully downloaded and installed the software from pokerstars.net, but when i log in i can't even see the "CASHIER" button, and only play money tables are showed.

As i went home i tried it from there - all was ok. Now i'm trying to play from another pc - same situation! As soon as i'm logging in, the place for cashier button becomes empty and only play money tables are showed.

What could it be? And can I solve this problem?

PS: even in menu: Lobby, Account, Language, Requests, Options, View, Help.
And no Cashier menu!
PPS: when i enter wrong password - i got an error, but as soon as i enter the right one, "Log in" button disappears, and epty place appears instead of it.

Hello,
I am using poker tracker 3 and playing full ring, short ring and head up. In previously poker tracker version when I was importing hands i used "Treat as 6-max", "Treat as 1-on-1", but now in PT3 i can't do it. So how can I mark, that I am importing 6max or 1on1 hands? Because now all my stats are mixed.

Hopefully they (and every other hand miner) got banned from 2p2.

I don't really understand the logic.

For as long as there is mining software people will be mining hands. All they did is provided utility. Instead of running 24 tables 24/7 I can just click on a link and get all the hands for the day. Its not gonna prevent no one from mining. And those people who live by these numbers are good for the game anyway. Its mostly just a nice utility that show you an overall picture of the stake you play, who the winners are, who the losers are, etc. You want really want to get rid of datamining? Ban trackers, ban huds, replace players names with stars, what cake does. That would be good, I'd love that. Until then, banning miners is no point.

Hello folks. I know there is something for ftp that tiles your sngs from top left to bottom right in order of age/blinds as you bust and open new ones. I'm not interested in this for ftp, but is there something similar for stars?

I want them to automatically reorder from left to right and top to bottom like that, but for my custom layout rather than standard tiling. Does anyone know if something has been made yet?

It's against the sites TOS/Rules = good enough reason IMO. I used to datamine when I 'thought' it was allowed at FTP, but that's irrelevant now. I actually dont have a real ethical problem with datamining and would likely do it still if it were allowed, but it's not so I don't. Feel free to datamine yourself, or buy hands from the miners, but I really dont think this should be their place to advertise. 2p2 doesnt allow bot builders to advertise here (which are against the sites TOS), but they allow miners to make threads advertising their services (which are also against the sites TOS).

I have made something like this with PlaceMint.

I used these regex expressions:

Code:
Tournament [0-9]{9} Table [0-9]+ - No Limit Hold'em - Blinds (\$10\/\$20|\$15\/\$30|\$25\/\$50|\$50\/\$100)

Tournament [0-9]{9} Table [0-9]+ - No Limit Hold'em - Blinds (\$75\/\$150|\$100\/\$200|\$125\/\$250|\$150\/\$300|\$200\/\$400|\$300\/\$600|\$400\/\$800|\$400\/\$800)

Tournament [0-9]{9} Table [0-9]+ - No Limit Hold'em - Blinds (\$500\/\$1000|\$600\/\$1200|\$800\/\$1600|\$[0-9]+000\/)

Made three different panels (with each 20 cloned spots) and assigned each one with a regex. Then all the sng's will automatically put in one of the panels and everything is ordered by blinds.

Really? Never heard of such a thing.

Nope. Placemint has a 'ripple forward' feature, so after a few ripple forwards they would be in order, but there isnt anything that can actually monitor the blibnd levels or time table has been open to keep them inorder automatically.

*Edit - I really wish Placemint wasn't so archane in it's design and setup process. I have never used a more awkward piece of software. I have attempted to set it up, and given up trying, 3 or 4 times. It really needs a 'set up wizard' or proper tutorial IMO.

In my opinion this should not be executed by 2+2. Botting is against most TOS and the usage of bots will in most cases be punished. Dataminig is against most TOS, but for example PokerStars allows their customers to buy the hands, as they did not break any TOS and the usage is nut forbidden.

As the use of hand histories is not forbidden by PokerStars(while botting is), discussion and advertising should be allowed like any other software in this forum.

I don't know what FullTilt's or other sites stance is in this matter, but I mailed stars and they gave a clear answer.

Yeah, now I come to think of it it was probably a ripple forward feature. If you bust on the 2nd table, all the tables can be moved up a spot before you open the next one. If that works for custom layouts that will do. Will look into the placemint.

thanks a lot.

I think you or I may be misinterpreting their rules. Perhaps I am just interpretting FTP's rules over to Stars. It was my understanding that using mined hands (that you got from another source) was against the rules, because they were obtained thru illegal measures, but basically unenforceable like the datamining rules. I can now see why you could interpret it that way. FWIW I have used some shared stars HHs (given to me by other micro players) on 2 or 3 occasions, but I have never actually paid for any.

Sure, but say I play on iPoker and it has no problem with mining as far as I know. And also Stars and Tilt are being hypocritical in a sense. On one hand they do every thing to encourage mass multi tabling. All their best customers are playing a ton of tables. And almost all of them data mining heavily and they know about it. Yet, they say they are against dataminig. Does not sound right. Like I might see problem with a site like TR, but even then - I don't really know. They can fix this easily by implementing the same system that the cake does, but they choose not to because perhaps they understand that it will hurt multitablers. I understand this is pretty much irrelevant when we are talking about ToS, but breaking ToS is neither immoral nor illegal. And hence I don't really see anything they can do about TR or miners to stop this. You don't even have to break ToS to mine, cos you don't have to accept them in the first place. Until they change the system on the ground level.

I wanted to get sure, thats the reason I asked stars:

Hello Sven,

Thank you for your email.

We do not have prohibitions on things we cannot literally enforce. While
it is forbidden to datamine on our site, we do not have a prohibition on
buying hand histories.

If there is anything else we can help you with, please let us know.

I guess it's more of a moral/ethics dilemma then.

I still don't think they should be allowed to make threads in this forum, that are basically nothing more than an advertisement.

And what about FullTiltShortcuts, HM, PT3 or even your advertising? Why is that better than ads to a datamining site? The user any software developer would like to approach to the users here in the software forum and for the user, buying datamined hands or buying some new layouts from you is exact the same. Though yours is allowed, the Dataminers not.

Not even remotely the same. I take offense at you implying that I advertise/spam here. Spam Advertising happens when the post/spam is unwarranted and not in direct reply to a question. I am extremely careful about how I reply, and very subtle about how I direct people to my site (if/when it actually applies to the question/post). Often directing them to the link in my profile, instead of posting the URL in the reply. Replying to posts in various/new threads with answers to specific questions is fine. I always offer the best advice I can, and always start by replying with free options before I suggest a pay for option.

Support threads (which I dont have one of) are allowed here. HM, FTS, PT3 threads are started as a support service here, even though they have their own support forums, and are filled with replies/bugs and assistance. Sales/Spam threads are not allowed. The HH mining threads typically start with a list of prices and URL links and the only support they offer is due to the fact that the miners dont have their own forums or rarely reply to their customer service emails.

I'm not talking about spam here, and never intended you to do so.

But obv the moderators are somewhat more critical about datamining threads, as HH Dealer's thread was deleted, for an yet unknown reason. _dave_ is not even reading my PM the last three days about how one should handle it in his eyes.

Everyone is allowed to open one thread to support/advertise his products, the datamining services not. And though it's allowed by PokerStars the moderators won't even talk about that. I think sites are putting pressure on them as what should be allowed to post here and I think 2+2 should not to not let them do this and judge this independently.

Hi!

When i multitable cg (with wickss scipt) i put all tables exactly above each other. When i play an interesting hand i pull that table out of the table stack. I guess pretty standard...

Now... Is there a way to move the tables by a script? So when i push "x" the table moves on the big table stack and when i hit "y" it moves to the smaller one.
