btw at first I was playing with all the royals , then I made changes to use the same royals for all the suites, that version is in the n1 deck.

the deck.bmp in the n1 white version is different from the one, i would like to request, the n1 white version "deck.bmp" (the royals are repititive)

while the one i would like to request is the version that has all the royals in it

I'm trying to personalize a deck I bought a while ago, can I ask you a couple of things?

Actually my idea is to simply change font on the deck and the cardrank; I've tried to modify deck.bmp and cardrank.bmp overdrawing the old font.
I did that to all deck.bmp and cardrank.bmp in "simple" folder, respecting images size and spacing of numbers.

That's the (poor) result:





I guess there's a problem with transparencies:
take a look at KINGs: you can see in black the old font that hasn't been removed completely (can't understand why).

The new font (in white) is only shown in the "layer" of the old one while it disapperas when outside the old font border.

you not the only one. The files in gx duplicate, change de files or copy the files the nova theme and past in your gx file. i think is in the cards sizes. that's how I did. and works.

Can i remove the text Pokerstars.eu on the tables? And write something else?

If you are using .BMP files, have you remade the mask files?

G3K0 did mention that back.bmp now needs to have 12 card backs. Thats the only thing I can think of.

i changed it back to 6 cardbacks instead of 12 and it works.

I saved the new files as .bmp

Files tlg.bmp , tlg-w.bmp , tlg-w2.bmp contain PokerStars logos.

my best answer, well...not the quickest but a little pain now will help you in the long run...

the PokerModding.pdf, the PSTIG.zip and the PokerStars Theme Integration Guide v.5.8.02.

the deck files come in two parts - xxx.bmp and xxx.a.bmp for cardback, rank, deck etc etc.

the client reads the card files you have edited AND then applies the .a.bmp mask that pairs them. At the moment those mask files will look pure black, if you use the mskmgr.exe programme in the PSTIG.zip above you will be able to reformat this mask file into an image you can edit (the programme reveals the mask).

All of this is explained in the pdf guide, which also has a short section on making your own decks...which will help you with editing the one you have.

It's not the best guide in the world, I know that but to be honest I've lost the will to re-write it or update it. It summarises most of the information in the first couple of thousand posts in this thread...or however many there were Jan 2010. Yes, I know I'm sad...I read them all.

Somewhere in PokerStars client folder. I don't know the exact place.

generally ....\pokerstars\gx

sometimes ....\pokerstars\themes\...

Then the theme you are using has probably changed this line (or the one for simple deck which normally points to this line) in a gx.ini file.

cardback:default=back.bmp@deck_default;h12;r:back_simple

Notice that PS expects the back.bmp to have 12 images.
