Is there any way to use these cards on PokerStars? I downloaded the card images in the link below your post, but I'm not sure if I can just copy/paste them into a Stars folder somewhere?

I didn't make them, and I haven't bothered to download them yet. I hate white cards.

I would assume his mod can be extracted, and then copy/pasted into the simple deck in the stars client like any other mod.

It seems like everyone prefers the colored cards.

For some reason, I find the white ones easier on my eyes. I like light backrounds too. I guess I'm the oddball.

I think I'll just wait until one of the nicer white decks becomes available via download.

FWIW - I do plan on creating some white face decks for stars, but it will likely be at least a month or 2 before I get around to it (if my recent work pace is any indicator ).

How do we get these cards in action?

That pack contains 4 decks actually , essentially only 2 but the Grey and Yellow variants too.
So it all depends only on that which deck you copy into the simple cards directory.

I don't remember the exact webpage but I saw these cards ages ago.
But as I remember at that time these were only for Party Poker that time.

Someone ported and tweaked them, it seems. Definitely doesnt appear to be original, from scratch, photoshop work.

Why can i not get this to work? Ive tried moving folders, changing tables installing themes and still its the same. When i change the table it updates. When i install the Xthemes thing it never shows up in the themes what am i doing wrong? I have Vista if that makes any diffrence.

What table theme are you trying to install?

It needs to look similar to this, in terms of the file folder structure.

Move that XThemes folder back up one level. It needs to be inside the same PokerStars folder, next to the Themes folder, not inside of it.

You want to have:

C:\Program Files\PokerStars\XThemes

not

C:\Program Files\PokerStars\Themes\XThemes

I wouldn't have time to convert that deck, as it isn't one of my original ftp decks.

There are a few similar free decks for Stars here.

There are a lot of other stars decks available for purchase here and here.

just out of interest is this something I can do myself ? are there any tutorials etc on card modding - is it relatively straightforward ?

I wouldnt say its completely str8 forward, if you arent familiar w/image editing. It is quite a bit different, and more complex than making a deck for FTP. Are those your cards? Is that your site?

Do you know the exact font of that text? If I had the proper font, or one very similar it wouldn't be real hard for me to try and duplicate it. Trying to find the exact font can often be frustrating. No guarantees it would be a true 'clone', as I won't copy/paste it, but it should turnout very similar. I prefer to recreate it to make sure the final product is as crisp as possible.

I could add it to my to-do list, but it could literally be a month or more, til I get caught up and have time for it. It may very will be less time, if I obsess on Stars cards some day, but I don't want to promise things I can't deliver.

Not my site so I don't really know what font it is . I have some experience with photoshop fwiw. just like the crudeness of the font. Any particular reason for not wanting to copy'/paste ?

Photoshop produces cleaner images, if the text is TTF text layers, rather than copy/pasting some medium resolution text, and blowing it up larger for the bigger card sizes.

I create my Stars cards, as all original text and shape layers, at the highest resolution (Cards 6 size). I then resize that PShop image to create the other 6 sizes, as PNG files. They then have to be all converted to BMP and Alpha-Mask files.

The stars decks are layed out completely different than a FTP deck as well. It isnt a simple matter of copy/paste 52 card faces - which would actually be very tedious, IMO.

If you are gonna spend hours making something, you might as well do it right.

Do more no image themeses plz.
