I've been thinking about trying Sharkscope and the HUD, but I wanted to get some opinions about the software. I play mainly small stakes 9 handed and headsup SNG's, and it seems like it would be very useful.

If you've tried it, or if you use it currently, please let me know what you think. Also, let me know where it helps you the most (table selection, in-game, etc.)

-Do you use the HUD?
-How many searches do you use on average/week?
-Does it come in handy in game, and during bubble play?
-Is it worth the cost?

I've searched for a thread similar to mine, but couldn't come up with much. If a thread exists, please post a link.

Thanks in advance

I use the service, which I prepaid for. I find it useful. I do not use the HUD (PT3 instead). The combination of VPIP/PFR/AF and sharkscope winrates seem to help me figure out what various actions mean (raise sizes, betting patterns, etc)

If you are going to play HU SNGs seriously, sharkscope is a must. 9-handed you can get by with the free searches, if you are playing 10$ and under, a HUD with PT is important, sharkscope HUD won't help much, if at all. Just by the 200 search package, you probably won't use it as often as you think.

Thanks.

With the HUD from poker tracker, does it automatically search for each player at the table, or do you manually search? (because if you buy 200 searches, and play 9 handed tourneys a lot- you'll only get through 22 tables before you're out). How exactly do you use it?

Also, do you use it a lot for selecting tables?

The HUD has nothing to do with PokerTracker, it pulls info from the sharkscope servers. Yes it automatically brings up stats for everyone on the table, but you can add regulars to a 'don't search' list so you don't waste bunches of searches on people you already know about.

FWIW there's at least one other sharkscope hud thread in this forum, try searching next time.

I upgraded to this last week for HU SnGs and it works pretty good. A few notes on it though. As far as I know you have to have the 500 searches a day to get the HUD so this is $30 a month. It will pull up everyone at the table as well. One of the things I don't like is it just gives you the overall stats for someone rather than being able to set it to show just HU stats, etc. As far as table selecting it doesn't really help you because it doesn't bring the stats up on the HUD until after you've started playing. There is a thread in this forum on fishscope that will do this for you though although I can't seem to get it to work properly. I would say though overall it's definately worth the extra money monthly for the HU SnG player.

Even with the HUD only, cant we determine how players play?

Most winning players play TAG early, and get looser as the blinds go higher.
And if I just base my decisions on his win rate then I can safely gauge his raises from each position. Am I correct?
