I downloaded these, but now I can't seem to be able to replace the correct files for this to work in FTP. Where would I put this to make it work? Thanks

Nvm, got it to work, thanks for this great pod!

I haven't given up yet on the idea of using Avatars for note icons in Classic View too. Ideally with them being the same size and in the same location of the real avatars. I figured out how to get the rank diodes this size and even locate them above the pod, however, I ran into a huge problem. The note icon overlays the cards. Obviously this is a deal breaker for this idea, unless I can figure out how to change it. Any XML guru out there know where the client is being told what "layer" the cards are displayed???

Yes this would be nice for Classic View which does the normal avatar and cards correctly.

Tedd-e, constructive criticism. I feel like (in the image below) the table appears almost flat on the ground. Is there any way to extend the foreground shadow some to give the table some height? Am I looking wrong? Like I said, I like where you are going with this and thought I would just drop a friendly note.

Ya. I have to say that this is one of the most confusing sites to navigate. It is very cluttered and unclear where everything is. After 5 mins of trying to check out the mods, I gave up cuz I couldn't find them and still don't really understand what the purpose of the site is.

I've been working on a new note taking system for awhile, and I've been testing it out the past week or so. I find it enormously helpful. I always liked the idea of being able to "label" players based on their playing style. Using a color system is good, but I find using an actual image that visually describes the villian's stye to be much better.

I've always been mainly a tournament player, but I'm trying to play more cash games now and I'm realizing just how important it is to quickly identify the fish/donks to isolate them or try to get involved in pots when they are in the blinds. It's also very helpful to identify the other playing styles to react accordingly.

What I've done with this mod is to utilize the default Avatar images from FTP and replace the note icons (rank diodes) with these images so that I can "label" villians with my choosing of the appropriate Avatar.

I found that the racetrack view is more suitable for this system. Because clicking "Display Avatars" on the options menu shifts the players names and stack size to the left, creating plenty of room for the rank diodes. I then simply removed the default FTP avatar images and shifted the rank diodes to appear in the player pods as avatar images.

Take a look at the image below to see the player pods I created with the avatar images as the note symbols.

Notice the arrow in the screenshot. You will actually be able to see the avatars in the note dropdown box. The table and background will not be included in the final mod. But, it's available for free in a previous post I made ITT. Also note that although I'm using the racetrack view, it's easy to create a "classic view" feel by replacing the racetrack table with a round table.

Here is a key for how I utilize this system by player type.

This system will definitely help with good table selection (it's the reason I created it). A letter will appear in the lobby to represent the "label" you've given players. Examples: F = Fish, D = Donk, C = Chicken, etc
Hi,
Where can I download/buy the your note mod?
Thanks

If you read the post/thread you will see that it is not yet available. It is a work in progress.

Hey guys, thx for the feedback. I'm really excited about the Avatar mod. For me, it changes the game. I spent last night going through my HEM database filtering villians I have 500+ hands on and then using the Search feature on FTP to quickly "label" them based on the HEM stats. Now when I hop on the waitlist for my current buyin level, there isn't a single lobby that pops up where I don't have 2-3 player types labeled. Freaking amazing for table selection.

The mod is fully functional for my own use right now, but it needs polishing for commercial sale. I'd really like to have it functional for both Classic and Racetrack View, currently I only have it for Racetrack (see previous posts).

Hey Wook, thx for the feedback. I personally prefer a less dramatic drop shadow specifically with Racetrack tables. But, it's super easy for me to extend it and if you are interested in the mod, I'd happily send you the table with more of a shadow.

Like Fozzy said, it's a work in progress. I work full-time, and my nights this week have been spent grinding rather than modding. But, I'm determined to get this thing complete over the weekend. So, hopefully it'll be up next week on fozzy's website.

Tedde

What if you put the Avatar is the same location as the notes diodes is now. Just the avatar would be smaller.

Right, thanks. That's the direction I was planning on going if I can't find the solution I'm looking for. Another thing that would be helpful is to figure out how to shift the player name/stack size over to the left (like racetrack does when avatars are enabled). This would at least provide more room and I could have the same size Avatar notes and essentially the same pods for both views. However, I haven't figured that out yet either.

Sounds like you have more than one copy of full tilt on your computer.

Or do you use badges? Turn them off to see pods if you do.

If you want to continue using badges you need to replace files in the PodBadges folder.
