Maybe a mod should edit the OP or the title of this thread to state both free and commercial products ITT so that people don't randomly come in and whine that some of the mods cost a few bucks?

Is there a card template that I can start with to make my own cards. I want to create something in Photoshop then convert it to SVG. So I hope the template would be in a Photoshop PSD format.

ok srsly guys, imo this thread is getting too commercial. there are hardly free mods on the last pages. i would suggest some kind of limitation. theoreticaly bar, fozzy and me could spam the whole thread with commercial mods and it would be allowed by the rules you put up (obv we dont do this). there are still users who search for free mods and its getting harder and harder.

fwiw, I never came to this thread expecting free mods. I'm sure a TON of time goes in to creating and perfecting these things (which I don't have NEAR the skill to do), so I don't mind shelling out a couple bucks for a deck or table theme that I enjoy. Sell away, imo -especially if I can use ftp transfer

No, you do not want to do this. The result is even worse than the crappy results the FTP client gives when rendering native SVG decks.

Use the default FTP card SVG files as a template in inkscape or illustrator, and good luck.

Here's a challenge for you: create a free mod yourself.

Has anybody figured out a way to get the cards to not scale down when decreasing table size (or just set a desired card size for a specific table size like you can do with font sizes)?

Haven't looked at this thread in ~50pgs.

Someone tell me, did it devolve into a commercial advertising thread?

Or is it still bursting with nice free mods that are comparable to the paid ones?

You can try the Options > Use Standard Card at all Table Sizes option, but it isn't a very good option imo. They need to come up with something better.

  1. Sorta
  2. Yes, there are still lots of freebies IMO.*
*(There is just a larger % of 'not-free' mods in this thread, compared to the old thread.)

I have 140mb of downloaded freebies from this thread (most of which I have never unzipped, TBH).

There is an option for this now.

Open a table, go to Layout in the upper right menu section. Click then choose change table view which is the bottom selection. This will open a new window. Bottom left of the screen you will see "standard cards at all sizes". Check that box.

They still scale down and the rendering is just brutal.

the first pic is with "standart cards at all sizes" option ON
the second one is with "standart cards at all sizes" OFF and lores cards.
The difference in rendering is obvious.
Anyway, i think he wanted the cards to remain at the default size no matter what table size you use. I don't know if this is possible but luvrhino seems to have played with the .xml alot, so i hope he can help.

Yeah, definitely a big difference. It's a shame that the FTP software does such a crappy job rendering the images. We can only hope that this will get better with future software updates.

take a look around, its definitely not the same thread it used to be. a new person everyday is learning how to make mods and then asking for five bucks lol

people should put as much effort in learning how to play poker imo

Yeah the option looks really crappy. I was hoping there was a way to manually edit card size corresponding to table size

Also, I would like to use the opportunity to thank Fozzy for his free table theme. It's really nice and sort of close to what I had before the FTP update. I feel at home again at the tables

Yes, please post the cards. Mostly interested in the card backs, but def wouldn't mind having a closer look at the cards.

You need to go into your Full Tilt Poker > Graphics > NewTable > Common > Cards, the "Cards" folder is what you need to copy & zip up and/or upload.

thank you for doing so.

NICE, have been yearning for a white deck.

Bout to test this out, just went thru all the files individually, quick suggestion:

make the color for the spades Purple. the yellow barely shows up and is quite hard to see on top of the white. Its something 'different' but i think dark purple is a good substitution, obv you can't use black.
