convert your table.png to table.svg.. photobucket won't let me upload a svg what does everyone use for these?

The SzS replayer requires that you have 2-color deck turned on in options.

You can download it from HERE (Cards + Table).

On the screen you can see some stuff from limpshove! tnx m8
these are the best looking cards I've seen post-update. from 4 to 12 tabling+ (specifically 6 tabling on a 24").

Nazo can you make the spades a different color and fix the font size? I'd buy these/donate to your cause for sure. very nice work.

Oh also need solid colored card backs for the set imo.

I think you misunderstood (I didn't really say very much though!). I wasn't expecting you to try and make them change their software!

What I meant was, if you can get direct access to a developer over at FTP, we can find out specific details, such as what version SVG they are supporting, will be supporting, will never support etc, what will / won't work (whether transparency, or even animation?!), why there are problems with certain aspects and certain elements, etc. It just sounded like you have a lot of experience with SVG, which is more important than just being a designer if you can get to communicate with a developer.

Does that make more sense?

Ahhhh... much better.

Thank you!

p.s. Thanks, outphasen. I converted it myself (inkscape on ubuntu), but I appreciate the gesture.

That doesn't bode well for my semi-transparent felt themes.

To answer this question, they are using SVG 1.2 Tiny and rendering it in Illustrator. Basically, anything that meets the current SVG file format standard will work. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Svg

Quicksilver, that is VERY frustrating news indeed...

I'm looking forward to experimenting with a variety of free deck designs though folks. Stay tuned...

Edit:
MODS, please go back to the commercial/non commercial format. Each needs dedicated threads. It's going to be a pain for people to sort through free stuff vs $$$ stuff this way...

While I admire the amazing artistry of many of these mods, I prefer utility over appearance with my current hardware (small laptop, crappy glary screen).

Would it be possible for somebody to do a hyper-simple theme, just everything black, no table, no pods, no chip tray? The blue buttons in the corners don't really bother me.

I'm hoping this would be like a 5-minute fix, just saving some all-black svg's or whatever the damn things are now, in the midst of your impressive design efforts.

Illustrator has a redistributable rendering engine? Also, how do you know these details (out of curiosity)?

As for "anything that meets the current SVG file format standard will work", this may or may not be true, perhaps "anything that meets the current SVG file format standard should work" is more appropriate?

Its def pretty interesting though, albeit a pretty new standard.

If you open up a FTP made SVG file in notepad, all the details are in easy to read code.

Also,

I'm going to have to retract my previous statement and agree with you on this one. The FTP client is a bit strange on how it chooses to render certain elements in the SVG files we are making. :/

Ok, right. Actually, I meant how are they being rendered in the client, not what editor they are using to create them to begin with. It might not really matter, but if certain rendering engines / libraries are known to have issues with certain features then that could be useful info.

Or not.

There are some freeware SVG cards here: http://david.bellot.free.fr/svg-cards/

It's a bit of a challenge to get them onto a PC that's not running Linux. You have to download 7-Zip and do 2 extractions to get to them.

However, they have some nice card backs. Here's what I currently have:

There are several other images, including the Olympic rings, a Linux penguin, a T-Rex, a footprint, some French stuff, and some regular deck backs.

There are a couple of different versions that you can download. The latest is a .SVG deck in a table format. Another one has individual cards. The cards all look very French, and I'm thinking that they may not show up as well as most of the mods that Fozzy and others have created.

Hi Nazo

love your table and cards is there any chance you could upload a version of the table that has no chip rack at the top. Would be close to pefect then.

thx
