I have a 24' 1920x1200 monitor that i use for poker. I play up to 20 tables and when you look at my monitor, you see 4 tables showing with no overlap. Thus it would look like this

X X

X X

Thus if i only have pokerstars tables, and say i was playing 16 tables at the moment. You would see 4 tables and behind each table, there would be more tables etc. Thus anytime there is action, the table would pop up etc. I liked this because i like the default size of the table and do not like to resize tables smaller.

I use a program called tableoptimizer to set up auto slots where i made the layout like this. Also when i move tables to another quadrant, it automatically goes to that quadrant. The thing now is i started playing on partypoker and 888. I set up the slot correctly with 888caption but with partycaption, it does not work so i have to manually move the party tables which is annoying. But that isn't that big of a deal because i don't get more than say max 6 tables of party at once. Usually its no more than max 3 at once.

The issue here though is when i play on party and 888, i have to dedicate an entire quadrant to partypoker and 888 even though i might be playing say 3 tables of party... and 2 tables of 888. Thus imagine i had 15 tables of stars. It would look like this in terms of how many tables i have on each quadrant.

8 stars 3 partypoker

7 stars 2 888poker

The thing is i don't do this and usually spread them out where the 888poker tables would be on the stars tables. Thus it would be like 5 stars, 3 partypoker, 6 stars and say 3 stars/2 888 on the bottom right quadrant. The main issue with this is i do lot of misclicking when 888 tables pop up or party pop up in front of stars. Not only that, many times the tables of 888 and party don't even pop up in action because i have stars tables over it.

So what i like to do is instead of having 4 tables shown with no overlap, i want to have 6 of them. Like this

Stars Stars Partypoker

Stars Stars 888

I tried to test this out manually but first issue is the tables are smaller size which i do not like. I like default size. But if this is my only option, how do i set this up correct? The other thing i want to ask is what size monitor would i need if i want to have 6 tables showing tiled like above where i do not need to resize any tables at all. Would i need at least a 30' and it has to be 2550x1600 resolution? I would want to have a 6 table layout on my screen, that way i have 6 quadrants and 1 specifically for party and 1 for 888.

Now if i were to get a 2nd monitor like the one i have, i could also do this right? Thus have 4 tables shown the way it is and with the 2nd monitor, have either another 2 tables showing or 4 tables that way to make it either 6 or 8? I want minimum 6 and i think 6 would be great. Now I never did a multimonitor setup. I currently do use a laptop though so my laptop acts as a 2nd screen but its basically used for the stars, party and 888poker lobby etc and thus i don't play on that screen. But if i were to get a 2nd monitor, what would i need to be buy? Do you need a special video card or something? Laptop i have is dell xps 9550 and its quad core laptop with 8gb ram and ssd.

I will most likely not be able to get a bigger monitor. But i will either want to use my current monitor and have 6 tables tiled... or buy another monitor similar to the one i have. But would it be big issue if 2nd monitor is 1920x1080 only? They don't have 1920x1200 monitors where im located so that is a bit frustrating.

Your monitor is worse than the one i had for grinding in 2008 in terms of size and resolution and i had 2 of them. Don't even know how to approach answering your questions but just advice you to not play 20 tables in 2018 on a tiny screen or on any amount of pixels for that matter as its not profitable anymore.

This is a question for the software forum, not CTH. Perhaps if you ask the mods really nicely they'll move it to the right place for you.

First off, how is the current monitor i have worst off than the one you used back a while ago? Back then i had a 1600x1200 monitor i believe and that was the standard back then. Most people didnt even have 1600x1200 monitors and had to play with overlap.

I want to know what is the best way to have either 6 tables on one screen... would having a 27' or 30' monitor with 2550x1440 resolution do it though? Could you put 6 tables with 3 on the top and 3 right under it? And most imporantly, would the size of the tables be the default size? Or you still have to make it a bit smaller. The thing is when you make tables very small, the cards are very tiny and thus its basically hard to look at. Thus thats why the tables i play on i keep on default size.

thunderbolts, thanks. But can anyone here who play lot of tables and tiles them give advice here? I did try to manually resize tables where i tile 6 of them on my 1920x1200 screen. But the issue is the tables are much smaller. Obviously the preferred setup would be having 2 monitors of 1920x1200 and that way you have 8 tables visible at once right? The next best option would be to get a 27' or is it 30' monitor with the 2540x1440 resolution, that way you get 6 tables showing?

2560x1440 res monitors have been around since 2010 and are far FAR superior to what you are using now.

Yes a 27 inch monitor at 2560x1440 res would fit 6 tables easily and be very large maybe slightly smaller than default but if you struggle with seeing 6 tables with that res and monitor size you need glasses. No idea if your graphics card and motherboard would support it though. If your graphics card has a display or mini display port then it should support that res no problem. Theres this thing called google you can check compatibility between different components instead of starting another thread.

Also buy a amazon echo you can ask it questions till your heart is content and Alexa will never get annoyed and always search diligently to satisfy your curiosity.

Hi there. Well back then i used a 1600x1200 monitor. I heard about those 2560x1440 monitors back then but those were for ppl who play a lot of tables and want to view all the tables. For me, i just wanted to see the 4 tables no overlap and have tables behind it.

The other thing is i cannot get one of those monitors where im located at the moment.

Well if that fits 6 tables that is pretty nice then. Yes if its just slightly smaller than default, that isn't a big issue. But can anyone here who has this monitor now tell me the actual size of a table when you 6 table tile on the 27' monitor with 2560x1400 resolution? I got a dell xps 15 9550 so i assume it probably would. I use hdmi with my laptop to my current monitor at the moment. But based on what you mentioned, would you say its better to have 2 monitors of 1920x1200 resolution or say 1 monitor of 2560x1440? The thing is both options, you cannot get these monitors here as its very hard to get. But i thought about using current monitor and another one with 1920x1080 to put say 2 tables on that one so 6 total. I know there is slight overlap with that. But would you say thats the best option if i want to have say 6 tables showing? I want one quadrant for partypoker and one for 888.
