Help..Using Mouse for Hotkeys on Stars not working?

Starting playing online poker again after absence of 5 years. I set up hotkeys on Stars, works fine with keyboard but when I assign those keys to mouse it does not work. I try on 2 different brands of mouse, Logitech MX and Corsair M90. They use to work fine in the old days. I can click the button in notepad and anything I assign to the button shows up correct.
Any help would be appreciated
