The updated FAQ is now live (see here) and I've created this thread for:

A) General discussion about the FAQ.

B) Suggestions for new common questions to be added.

C) Requests for widely used software and scripts to be added and/or their details corrected.

Please note though that for commercial products we will only link to pages within the forum and only established and widely used products will be added (ie: don't ask for brand new software products to be added).

The FAQ isn't 100% finished yet: some common questions/applications/scripts will have been missed (mainly shortcut-type AHK scripts). Also, don't be mad if your product is missing: I created the current list by going about 15-20 pages back from the front page looking for threads with lots of activity... I expect the FAQ will get updated quite a lot over the next couple of weeks.

Finally, I should just add that most of the work done on the new FAQ was done by fozzy - thanks fozzy!

I actually started a FAQ yesterday. it was a page long and then I tilted and closed the window. so, good timing

mine was better (obv), but this is better than nothing (jk jk)

I read it, only suggestions so far are to:

emphasize the infraction pts (and give them out when appropriate)

mention that people should use appropriate thread titles

mention the quick questions thread

suggest that people use on Google as another way to search

I had some other stuff, but I can't remember right now

the link in the last sentence is hard to see. either make the whole sentence a link or change the font so people can see they should click on the last word

oh ya and just add to the sticky that there is a PokerTracker sponsored forum. we don't need a separate sticky for that. unless they are paying for it or something

title should be more like "read or get infraction pts" or at least get rid of the please/shouldn't be optional

I was pretty impressed that not one, but two of my programs got featured. I should stick to writing things like The Opener, that way I'm not dependent on sites randomly deciding to change things.

If NoteAbbs.ahk by Everlong isn't in the FAQ it should be, just because it is so awesome. It is the only thing keeping my under-title from being reality, but I don't use it for poker.

Juk..... modify the Table Select area to say that FTP banned SpadeEye..... but they have put the seal of approval on SpadeEye Lite (this from the author Sven). I was also under the impression that HEM and PT3 also had table selection components. Maybe I am mistaken....

.....and it goes that I would like to thank all you talented programmers for all the hard work you have and will in the future exert..... just so little ol' me can eek out a BB or two.

No mention for commercial shortcuts programs Party EzCASH, Table Ninja etc and open source shortcuts for Stars & Full Tilt (Poker Shortcuts).

Couldn't see references to Postgres and Overcards.com.

Yeah, this is one section that we knew needed adding (I just never got round to it when doing the software tools bit).

Not sure if we should add something about allowable nicks?

People making nicks the same as their product name seems to be a recurring problem (then again there might be some "general" 2+2 FAQ somewhere we can point them to about this?).

for party poker mods do you copy the entire folder into the Images folder or the individual pictures. e.g all 52 cards

Just copy them so that they overwrite the old images.
