Re: Bovada Table Mods

PS, I followed Coke_Man's directions to change the table and card backs. That really helped a lot. Thanks, Coke_Man.

Re: Bovada Table Mods

Well anyway I got the hypersimple table I like for Bovada. Here's what it looks like:

I took tedd_e_KGB's hypersimple table image from the Merge Table Mods thread and just resized it a little.

If you want to use it, just follow Coke_Man's directions using this image (it's already the right size and has the 'options' button blocked out):

I used Bicycle Rider card backs, but like Coke_Man said you can use any image you want.

If someone more skilled than me could do the waffle cards that would be awesome. It would be almost like the old days.

Re: Bovada Table Mods

Here's a slightly better version of the hypersimple table. The table face was cleaned up a bit and the edge of the table was brought down to go just inside the 6 oclock player's box.

Here are the waffle cards rearranged in Bovada order if anyone is interested. They look OK but Bovada hole cards are half cards and the waffles don't work there.

How they look:

I'm just going to stick with the Bovada 4 color cards which are fine even if they're not waffles.

Been reading the entire thread, and still not quite sure how to install these custom mods. I would love to install the black one, pictured above. Could someone please post a step by step walk through, on a first grade level, how to install this mod? Thanks guys.

Re: Bovada Table Mods

If you want the black one you quoted, you will have to get the files from octopus, I have not seen them posted. Once you get those. The steps I listed in post #6 (I think) are about as basic as it gets. Where are you having trouble? Post #8 has a link to my files if you want those.

Has anyone successfully modded chips? I find it difficult to get the sizing correct.

Re: Bovada Table Mods

Yeah, It took some playing, but I was able to mod chips. They don't look perfect. I honestly just played around in Mac's application "preview" and was able to get some to look pretty good. I'm at work now but I'll snap a screenshot later.

Re: Bovada Table Mods

Hyper simple looks so nice. Anyone have links to more cardbacks that are good for hyper simple?

Stars chips works nicely for cash. For some reason Bovada has 2 chip set image files and that same set doesn't work for tournament chips.

Yeah, I don't play many tournies anymore, so I didn't convert those. I might do it eventually

Re: Bovada Table Mods

I'm not very savy at this table mod stuff, so can someone help me please? I've made it from Bovada>bg. Once there, then what? I want to make a black background instead of the Green or Red that they have. Thanks!

Re: Bovada Table Mods

Most probably won't find this useful, but I created a dirty little mod from the card faces posted earlier. I use an extremely low contrast and brightness setup to avoid eye strain, so I needed higher visibility suits. I achieved this by putting little colored squares on top of cards in order to differentiate them. Have fun.

Re: Bovada Table Mods

I recently started playing poker again, and joined Bovada. Naturally I felt the site needed a face-lift, so I decided to convert some of my old FTP mods that were sold commercially on Fozzy's site and later on my own site (both now closed). Anyhow, here's my "Arcadia" theme, along with my "Deluxe" chipset, a dealer button, and a sick new deck of cards I made.

I spent a ton of time on this, so it's not free. Send me a PM if interested.

How do I clean up the corners of each card to make them look clean cut?

Re: Bovada Table Mods

I managed to get them a little cleaner. Any advice from anyone? I'm using Photoshop and using the magic wand, but I guess I'm not doing it right?

Re: Bovada Table Mods

Here's a new modpack - PokerStars clone for Bovada

It includes multiple table/background options, chips (both cash & tourney), 2 buttons, and two decks (PokerStars' default deck and Simple deck). Since the hole cards on Bovada only show half the face, I remade the Simple deck(aka Waffle). I removed the small card rank in the upper left and raised the large rank to the top half of the card.

Shoot me a PM if interested.

Re: Bovada Table Mods

The Bovada client uses a "table_Background" image with an overlay "table_Foreground" image. The default background image is essentially just the top border and the area below the table where the chat box and betting buttons are. I discovered that by using a transparent foreground image and instead modding the background image you can gain some valuable real estate for nicer looking mods.

Here are a few that I just made (using old favorites I'd originally created for FTP). I'm adding these 4 to the Arcadia Mod pack.
