Wow this thread is a lifesaver. I absolutely hate everything about the bovada layout/design. Thanks to Cokeman & all the others that are posting content.

How did modding the sounds go? Did it work for you Dubois? I was thinking about doing that as I hate all of the sounds as well. Is it the same/similar process as modding the rest of the stuff? Also where did you get the different sounds for calls, raises, shoves, etc.. Any info is appreciated, thanks.

Here's a new deck I just finished.

And here's a free mod I previously posted, but was deleted.

I'm sure it's been covered, but couldn't find it. How do you get rid of the dotted card things on the table?

Here are all the transparency files you will need to remove the table logos, seatline dividers, the blackjack link and those dotted card lines. Instructions are included.

All of the sound files come from Full Tilt poker.

Download it and then go to the start menu, computer, and find the Full Tilt Poker file.

The audio is under "wave" files...copy and rename using Bovada's names for their audio files.

Be sure and make each file read-only by right clicking on it, then selecting "properties."

After messing around a bit, I modified the Bovada default deck to give it a worn out, vintage look.

I never understood why Bovada offers all the various colored backgrounds and tables, but doesn't have a simple black one. So, I modified that too.

I changed the dealer button to have the Bovada logo, instead of a "D," and made a worn out card back to go along with the deck.

You can have this simple mod for free (background, cards, cardback, and button). Just send me an email or PM asking for the "Vintage" deck and I'll send you a link to the files.

Thank you for that. Those were super annoying.

Threw together a fairly simple background for my setup. I like the simplicity, but also like the little changes I've added.

Here are a couple screenshots from my latest work, "Shadow."

Feature table

I've also updated the "Gin Rummy" deck to now have a 4 color version.

The above two backgrounds were ported over from Unibet.

You should keep the Unibet logo in!

Instructions for modding Bovada on a Mac.

1. Make sure the Bovada Poker client is not running.
2. Using Finder, click the following path:
Macintosh HD>Applications>Bovada Poker
3. Right click and select "Show Package Contents"
4. Now follow this path:
Contents>MacOS>resources>images>gc
5. From here, instructions are the same as for a PC,
however, once you replace a file it must be set to
read-only AND the file must be locked.
6. After replacing a Bovada file with a modded version:
Right click on the file and select "Get Info"
7. Under General, check the box for "Locked"
8. Under Sharing Permissions, change Privelge to "Read only"

Bought some mods from Teddy... top notch.

I'm not the most tech-savvy guy in the world and he was extremely helpful even months after I purchased the mods.

Thanks a ton.

Highly recommend!

I've read through this thread and have been changing around some stuff but I have a few questions. I used cokeman's quick and dirty tutorial on post 6 to change stuff. I like everything for the most part but when I changed the chips and the dealer button there's white outlining outside the button and it bothers me. Any way to fix it or put the stock one back? And I also changed the color of the bet button to blue but would like to change that too.

If you didn't save the original files to put back, you can always remove the read only property on your files and restart the client. It will download the originals then.

Did you make your own button and chips or get the ones from my site? There shouldn't be an outline on those. I think there may have been when I first put them up, but that was fixed. If it is there now, then that means my host did a restore from a old back up and I'll have to investigate.

I like those blue cards a lot where did you find them? Also I like the blue tint on the buttons I had a light blue but couldn't read the numbers through it but your dark blue looks great.

If you are talking about the blue backs, they are just up a few posts (post 277). I can't remember if I got the blue buttons from Tedd_e or not.. if it turns out I didn't, then I'll post them here.

Modded tables= run good

Tables have been so much more appealing to the eyes and I've been able to concentrate more. Final tabled a tourney past 3 Sundays in a row. I found a bellagio table on Google images recently I may post it on here soon.

To change card backs:
1. Find Bovada\resources\images\gc\card\card_back.png
2. Replace it with whatever card back image you want. It does not have to be the same size as the original
3. Mark file read only
4. Restart Bovada, it will try to download new files, but the read only will stop that.

Same process for the other mods, just replace #2 with whatever target you are changing...

Table image: Bovada\resources\images\gc\bg\table_Foreground_rt. png
-I choose the race track to mod here

Buttons: Bovada\resources\images\gc\button\gamebtn.png
-This one needs to be sized correctly as the top, middle, and bottom is used for the different button states.

Chips: Bovada\resources\images\gc\chip\chip.png
-cash games there is another called tourney chip or something.

Dealer button: Bovada\resources\images\gc\table\dealer_mark.png

Spotlight: Bovada\resources\images\gc\table\spotlight.png
-that is the red spotlight used on the racetrack and red table.
-You are going to have to use something like a sunburst gradient to get that faded effect

I think that is all I got right now. You can mod most anything here.
