Bovada Table Mods - Page 9 - Gambling and Poker Software Forum

I've put together a new Full Tilt Poker Clone mod pack. It is complete with all 16 backgrounds, cards, chips, dealer button, and the FTP blue betting buttons!

hey tedd_e I bought 4 of the packs off you previously and am really liking the card backs you have in this image. I don't see it in the arcadia, gin rummy, vivid, or pokerstars packs i got. Anyway I can get it? reminds me of the backs I used to use on FTP although those were a little darker. thanks for the help! or if its in one of the packs on your site and I am just not seeing it let me know thanks.

Make sure the added files are read-only. Right click, properties, general, read-only.

1. Move and replace "bet_bg" and "table_Foreground_16" to C:\Bovada\resources\images\gc\bg

2. Move and replace "gamebtn" to C:\Bovada\resources\images\gc\button

3. Move and replace "card_back_5" to C:\Bovada\resources\images\gc\card

The buttons will change automatically in Bovada, but you'll need to select the cards and table. They are the last options for both (black/red 2 and hockey).

So I hate the black buttons on the black background... I run OS X Mavericks but I can't seem to prevent the Bovada client updating and downloading a new gamebtn.png file everytime it starts up and overwrites the nice yellow gamebtn.png file I put in MacOS > resources > images > gc > button - directory... anyone got advice?

I did mark the files read-only, unfortunately every time I launch the Bovada client it downloads a new gamebtn.png file.. :/

I don't know. The read-only worked for me. Otherwise Bovada was replacing the files every time I opened the client, like you said. I've never used a Mac before but figured it'd be the same.

I read about the following method of avoiding updates for PokerStars Mac client on another poker forum a year ago. I guess, a similar method can be used for Bovada client.

Anyway, I can't check this method by myself (for Bovada or Stars) or guarantee stable performance of your Mac after that.

The method for Stars:
1. Open com.pokerstars.net.user.ini from "/Users/[Username]/Library/Preferences/com.pokerstars.net.user.ini" and add the following lines to that file:

[Debug]
RunUpdateCheck=0

when you get the images in place that you want and have them named all correctly you need to make sure that admin is also put as read only on Mac also you need to lock the file after you do all of the read only stuff. if you do not lock the file then bovada will replace it with an original file every time. Hope this helps I was having same problem as i'm new to Mac pc's until I started locking the files then they would stay.

I've remade the Simple deck (aka Waffles) to add more shadowing around the card ranks and suits. I think it looks less flat and more like the original PokerStars version. It's a subtle change, but I think a noticeable difference.

How do you add a picture to the background of a table? Do you need to resize it to a certain length? I tried adding one in, but when I logged in to see if it was showing, the background just auto defaulted to a blank black background.

I bought this guys pokerstars bovada mods and other than having the ugly watermark it's pretty much the best 10 dollars I've ever spent. However I would love if someone made the original pokerstars redbacked cards.

I guess you should delete or edit cardline.png from C:\Bovada\resources\images\gc\bg for that.

no, if you delete the files, the client will put them back. You need to take those files and make a transparent version of them and mark read-only.

This may seem really silly, but could anyone possibly recreate this background/table for Bovada? I tried to simply make a circle on a black background in Paint but it looked awful.

Edit: FTP chips would be pretty awesome too
