Does anyone here use a poker hud on windows vista? I used to use poker tracker 2 with gametime+ on my old computer that had XP and it ran fine.. but since I updated to vista Ive been having problems with gametime+ and realtime. They will both eventually show the hud on my table but the stats will never update.. if I wanted to update the stats I'd have to manually remove the table from the software and add it again in gametime+. In realtime it'll reset if I try to manually update.
Just curious if anyone else have had this problem and if they were able to find a solution, thanks!
You either need to turn off UAC, or set every/all your poker related EXE's to 'Run as Admin'. Turning off UAC is easier, IMO. I don't have vista, but have helped numerous Vista users set up AHK scripts and Holdem Manager. UAC just looks like a PITA, AFAIK.
Can anyone else help me out? I'm willing to pay for software that works right in vista now but I have to be sure it will work. I have tried realtime on two different computers running vista and it just doesnt work. Rarely it will show the stats on the table but like I said before it will never update past the hands it started with (usually like 4 hands).
Holdem Manager, FTW, IMO. Any HUD should work in Vista. I dont have vista, and dont use those freebies anymore. PT3 is another alternative. Poker Observer HUD will work with HM, PT3, and the still un-released beta of PokerEV (which will also have its own HUD).

Another thing to try is to disable desktop composition. Instructions on how to do that are here
Why not get pahud for pt2? Works fine in vista, with aero etc. No need to disable anything. You can buy it seperately or it comes for free if you buy PT3(you get PT3,PT2+PAHUD - maybe worth considering if you will upgrade to PT3 eventually)
