Transfer Pokertracker 4 database to PT3 on a Mac?

Hey - sorry if this has been asked before but I'm just wondering how I can transfer a database from pokertracker 4 to my laptop with is a Mac and thus only supports pokertracker 3? Is there a way to do this? If not, then I will just run windows on the Mac, and just need to know the best way to transfer the database to the same program on another computer. Sorry for being a total technology noob, and please direct me to another thread if this has already been covered!

i havent used PT4, but in PT3 there was a database option in the menu that you could use to backup the database to a file. then you would just copy that file over to the new computer, and 'import' the file
but you should contact PT support. its very unlikely that PT3 will be able to use a PT4 database.

It's not going to be possible to transfer a PT4 database to PT3, there are too many changes to the structure.
It'll be best to run windows on the Mac, and transfer to another PT4. In this case, as Greg said the easiest way it to do a backup / restore from PT4's "Database -> Database Management" menu. Just make the backup on one PC, copy the zip file it makes using a usb stick or similar to the mac, then restore it on there.
It's worth mentioning that the PT people expect a Mac public beta of PT4 sometime in January (obv this may be later than planned tho), if you aren't too time-sensitive you might avoid setting up Windows on it by waiting.
