I'm basically looking for software that will helps me get better at reading hands. For example a hand simulator where you have to guess what the other person has preflop and on each street. Could be based of something like "winning poker tournaments one hand at a time (1 & 2)". I have a feeling there isn't but if there is please direct me to the right place and if you have used it what you would rate it. Thanks!

You're looking to guess an exact hand like "he has K7o"?

Doesn't have to be exact, could be software that says what three hands would you give this person, he has been playing tight aggressive and stealing often or he hasnt played a hand in twenty minutes...Etc

Kevinmask, you could do this the long way:

Step 1: Use a HUD. If you're playing 6-max there's even enough space to put villain's VPIP stat for each position so you don't have to try and break down, say, 18% overall VPIP into certain positions.

Step 2: Download Pokerstove.

Step 3: Take villain's VPIP for a certain position and put it into Pokerstove

That'll give you an idea of their range for each seat at the table which is what you really want for hand reading instead of trying to figure out an exact hand.

It's not perfect. For example, some people might limp small pairs and raise decent broadway hands. Others villains may raise small pairs and limp decent broadway. Their VPIP could look the same but will contain different hands. Note taking solves this problem.

But using Pokerstove a lot will start to give you an idea of what certain ranges look like. Plus it's really fun to mess around with.

We're working on something like this for web-based tracker Pokeit (http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/45...e-beta-915205/), although we're still a ways away from putting this feature into production. It would basically look through your hand history data and estimate your opponent's hand ranges at each stage of the action. Not in real time though as that would be cheating.
