AFAIK mods off of TiltBuster come with their own installers (I know some do, possible that some don't.) You could ask them.

Yea, I guess it's "easy" to make junky card mods. Depends on how you define easy and how you define junky.

the card mods from tiltbuster and psthemes all are self installing, although they will get overwritten with each stars update.

The newer decks add a Start Menu shortcut for convenience, and a time saving feature that launches pokerstars

there are 68 files to modify in a complete stars deck. i wouldn't call it easy, but it does get better after you've done about 5 junky ones

here is my latest one

Lets say you wanted to take a preexisting deck, but replace the ace of spades with some other random graphic, like a corona logo or a baseball or a naked chick. How would you go about doing that? I would think you would have to understand the inner workings of the pokerstars client itself.

Another question just occurred to me. Is there a way of displaying cards in ur hand side by side, instead of overlapped? Full Tilt obviously has them side by side...was wondering if the same format could be implimented in the stars client as well.

I've seen this guide before.

I'm gonna need more of an explanation, cuz I don't see how that guide would help someone create their own deck of cards. All I see in the guide, and correct me if I'm wrong, is a way of integrating a given deck into a specified theme. But that doesn't tell me how to make a deck of cards in the first place. I'm probably missing something, but I've read that guide before and am still unclear on how to accomplish my objective

cheers and ty

Photoshop is what most people use for making the images. Typically created as Photoshop PSD files, then saved as PNG files, and then converted to BMP/Masks using the information in that theme guide.

guide quote:

"At present, the following files cannot be customized:
- non-image files
- content of the “fonts” folder
- contents of the “chips&deck” folder"

is this important?

they can be modified - they just get overwritten by the originals with each pokerstars update

would those be the specific files you would modify to change a preexisiting deck?

the chips&deck folder under the gx folder?

also, the 6 min DC video about stars mods recommends not using card and chip mods on stars. Kinda weird right, given tiltbuster and others sells a wide variety of exactly those mods?
