Awesome. Your a genius. There was some white space behind my screename and now it works perfectly. Thanks so much. It is a bit different result from wildzer0's I guess due to the headsup vs. multiway? Not sure haven't really looked hard but over 70k hands yours says I'm owed 13 buyins and wildzers say 17. And thanks a ton to you also wildzer0. Now I know I'm not just paranoid and really am running bad
Wow that's some bad luck dude. I haven't really taken a look at how advisor modified the query so I could be wrong here, but I believe he just eliminated the hands where multiple people saw a showdown, whereas in mine, I believe those hands were being counted multiple times (I have a fix for that, but been sick and lazy the last few days). So that could definitely account for a 4 buy-in difference.

I'm just the guy with the good ideas, I need other people to actually make 'em work

i ran like 1.3k below equity while shortstacking 1/2 this weekend (8k hands), then i ran like 1.5k above when at 2/4 and 3/6. this is shortstacking and YMMV.

Does anyone else feel like a little kid on christmas eve waiting for the beta tomorrow? I forsee spending like 3 hours just looking through pots and stuff, it really looks awesome tho. Maybe im just a math nerd ><

I'm running -18% at the stake I'm taking shots at.

I'm running +18% at my "Im Tired - Lets play Low" stake.

STANDARD

I'm running +4% at my normal stake though...

I ran terrible at my normal stakes, moved up to 3/6 yesterday and ran hotter than god. Good times will come

True.

Best tactic would obviously be to leave my normal stake where im due a downswing and move up to where I'm due a hot streak.

Do either of these programs work with Sit n Go's or are they just for cash games?

output.txt says : postgresql-8.2-504.jdbc3.jar not found

My settings are:

db_host = localhost
db_name = GRIND (i think this is the name of the freshly converted SQLdb, where i can doublecheck?)
db_user = postgres
db_pwd = mypassword
screenname = myscreenname (don't need to do it for each alias right?)
filter_date = 2001-01-01
filter_stake = none

I'll def send a few bucks if i can get this going.

Did you download the .jar file and put it in the same directory as the script itself? Did you execute the script from the folder all the files are in?

Prima network doesn't show mucked hands, so there is a lot of hu allin situation where you won the pot but don't know the opponents cards. I suppose this will screw up the calculation?

Oh right, simply missed this download.

found 658 headsup allin situations
won: 368 lost: 281 tied: 9
average potsize: $326.56
average ev: 0.5349
money won: $122558.76
money expected (based on allin equity): $121542.04
money difference: $+1016.72
total_bet: $103929.13

So it says my edge in these spots was 3.5%, and i'm a slightly over my EV. Standard.

Will they ever? How hard would it be to adapt them so they did?

There's not really any reason they shouldn't work with cash games. I didn't write the query to specifically do anything with tourneys, but I imagine it would either work out of the box with tourneys or would with very small modifications.

Cool, I'll have to give it a try later then and see what it shows up.

no but i think Phil153's program will (see earlier in this thread)

Quote:

it doesnt work with SNGs since its only querying the cashgame database tables atm. after a quick look i think the query could be ported over to use the tourney-tables for calculating this info as well. but then it would be about chipsEV rather than $EV, which is quite a difference in sngs. a badbeat 4 handed is more important to the "running good"-factor than at other stages...

to all the others:
be careful with these numbers. the query doesnt get all allin situations and sometimes the pot numbers of the situations it finds arent right (if there are sidepots, multiple allin, more betting after you are allin etc.)

i could fix this but lets just wait for Phil153's program and see how it does
