How much will PokerTracker 3 cost?
The cost for PokerTracker 3 has not yet been determined; however, it will be comparable to the current cost of PokerTracker and PokerAce Hud.
I am an existing PokerTracker/PokerAce Hud customer. Will I receive a discount?
Yes, current PokerTracker/PokerAce Hud customers will receive a special upgrade price dependent on the length of time that they have owned PT/PAH prior to upgrading to PT3. Below is the percentage of your original PT/PAH purchase price that will be applied to your PT3 purchase:

< 2 months, 100% of the PT2/PAH price off of PT3
< 6 months, 60%
< 1 year, 40%
> 1 year, 20%

Ex: You purchased PT2 and PAH on 2/19/2008. PT3 is released on 3/25/2008. If you upgrade to PT3 prior to 4/19/08 you will receive 100% of your PT2/PAH purchase towards PT3. If you purchase after 4/19/08 and before 8/19/08, you will receive 60% of your PT2/PAH purchaes price towards PT3.

RobTheDuck deserves the custom under-title of '2+2's Google', IMO.

There was a bot-post earlier today that got deleted. I don't know if it's been permanently deleted, but if not then I think it would be a good idea to pass on the URL of the site to the Poker Academy authors. He was clearly using their trademark to endorse his bot and I doubt very much they had given him permission to do so... A few years ago there was another bot-tool that hooked into the actual Poker Academy code to allow their bots to be played on real money tables and IIRC they were considering taking legal action against them because the bot's website (falsely) appeared to be endorsed by the Poker Academy authors.

I cant believe that post was online for so long. iStrong and others are arguing, saying "ban please", but apparently no one actually used the "Report Post To Moderator" button.

FWIW - I reported it twice, as soon as I saw it.

I just assumed that one of the other previous posters would have reported it so didn't bother - ooops

I try to spam the mods now, instead of trolling bad posts. Actually, some of my best posting is probably when using the "Report To Mod" button.

Thing's like, "Why haven't you broken this guy's keyboard yet?", etc.

*Try to ignore GoogleTard threads too, but I really feel the need lately to bust out the "BabyBeingSpoonFed.JPG" again.

It is always worth hitting the report button on spam like that. It sends an email to us - which is pretty handy if were not surfing 2p2 but are online - and tells us the reasons given... which occasionally are really funny

I actually was asleep, sorta - had popped out to the shops after I woke up late afternoon, didn't go on the net beforehand. Looks like it appeared at 1PM and was gone by 5PM ish - I fired up the computer around 6PM, so I missed my chance to delete it.

Was pretty funny thread imo.

I'm gonna have to start waking up earlier, deleting dataminer spam wore me out

Has anyone had any experience using VMware for mass datamining? Im looking to get a dedicated datamining PC, can anyone advise me as to what specs i might need? Will it be possible to datamine all the party and FT 5/10+ tables on a single PC? [assuming i have enough accounts]

im using poker grapher v1.4.5 but it does not pick up the correct £/$ conversion rate from pokertracker.

so for example say I earned $500 and £100, then the graph will display $600 treating the exchange rate of £/$ as 1:1. everything shows up fine in pokertracker, ive entered the exchange rates and the statistics are correct there.

however in poker grapher there does not seem to be anywhere to enter the exchange rates, and its not picking them up from pokertracker. any suggestions? or can someone recommend another grapher that can convert? ive googled for poker patterns which i believe is an alternative, but cant seem to find a working download link.

Is there a script to auto-join NL tables on stars?

I'd like to be able to just auto join the first 12 available 1/2 NL 6max tables on stars.

Does this script exist?

Thanks.

No, there isn't.

Stars Assistant allows you to use a hotkey (Ctrl+R) to join a wait list or table. This along w/ the 'Kill PopUps' feature makes it a lot faster to manually join wait lists. I actually prefer the PopUp Killer in _daves_ Stars Planer. The only feature I leave activated in StarsAssistant is the ability to join waitlists w/ HotKey.

_dave_ - Any chance you could just code that into Stars Planner, so I dont have to run Stars Assistant for only 1 feature?

Anybody here any good at PLO8? I've gotta play a HU SNG of this and am too lazy to figure out how to play properly... So here is my cunning plan to minimize my chance of getting badly outplayed:

1. Play as slow as possible for every action (this way I can get to the higher blinds and gambol - I'll have to play approximately 16 hands in the first two levels this way...).

2. For level 1 (20/40) and 2 (40/60) just fold, limp/fold, limp/call or call everything (no aggression to build big pots and get outplayed - play like a total nit on the flop...). Even if I fold every single hand I estimate that I'll lose no more than 600 chips (out of 3000 starting chips) doing this before level 3 hits.

3. For level 3 (50/100) onwards raise any "semi-decent" hand from either blind (no calling, just raise/fold) with the intention of getting all-in on any flop. Hopefully after my "super-passive-nit" image for the previous two levels, my new found aggression will win some pots on pure bluffs before I finally get called and can gamboooool with an all-in!

Does this sound like a reasonable strategy? My intention is not to win really, but just to minimize the edge a good player will have over me... I'm guessing if I try to play "properly" I'll have a less than 10% chance of winning based on the fact that I've never played a single hand of PLO8 and just barely know the rules. I also expect a good % of the time to be up against a "ringer" who will be an expert player. How often do you think this strategy will win vs an good/expert player?

I will take the time to work out some form of hand-ranking for starting hands though, so will at least know whats good and whats bad (anybody know of a good link - preferably a list of all hands with their equity against another random hand?).

How did this happen?

Disclaimer: I actually have no idea how to play a omaha tournament.

Basically, play hands that have a chance to "scoop" - win the high and the low. Like double suited Aces (AA45) maybe? and hands that make lots of straights. Do not value a non-nut flush highly.

remember 2nd nut in omaha is far far worse than in holdem.

I think I might have at least a 20-25% chance of winning using my strategy (will have to adapt it a bit if still have >20BB at 50/100...), but I think it's gonna be -EV to invest time in learning proper PLO8 atm. Last time I tried playing Omaha I spend 5 minutes wondering why my nut flush didn't win... of course it turned out I was trying to use 3 of my hole cards!

I used to play micro PLO8 9man SNG's, and do fairly well. I played the SNG's because I loved the game, but simply lost way too much many playing PLO8 cash games.

I never played HU SNG's tho. In a standard SNG your strategy is sound. I would play weak tight early, especially OOP. Trying to get cheap flops, and strong hands w/o having to gamble much. Then after a few had busted, and the blinds had increased, I would get more aggro preflop, and hope to get all my chips in on any favorable flop that hit my hands.

I've just got Holdem Manager, and was wanting to configure it as I use the preferred seating option on Stars, but I don't know which seat is seat 1, which is seat 2 etc.

I play 6 max, and want the seat number in the southwest of the screen.

Thanks for any help

Dealer tray is seat 0 - then clockwise from there.

I sit in the bottom right, south-east, and that is seat #3.

Yours should be seat #4.
