Anyone know of any type of software that can make up hand historys if I feed it the stacks, cards, action etc?

I think I seen some video producers use it before but no idea what it's called.

Cheers

I don't recall ever seeing any software that does this and I too would love to be able to find something like this for our HM testing tasks. Do you want to be able to import the hands to a tracker (i.e. they have to be ftp or stars format) or are you just wanting to be able to share them via social media and forums?

Hey fozzy,

Just for re-creating or making up hands really for sharing on poker groups / forums etc

I thought there was software out there that did this but I must be mistaken!

I am job hunting right now and I can see that knowledge of SQL is often a very desirable skill. How do i go about teaching myself SQL? Can anyone recommend a book or online tutorial on SQL. There seems to be a lot of resources but I am not sure where to start. Thanks in advance.

Is there any sort of software that you can paste hand history texts into and have the hh show up in a visualizer?

Basically I'd like to take messages I get on skype that are raw hh's and be able to copy/paste them into some box and have them displayed visually like the pokerstars replayer because I have a hard time figuring out what is going on otherwise. I am referring to unfinished hh's here as well because lots of the discussion hands obviously don't include results. I'm aware there's a few ways to do this with complete hh's.

Safe to blindly import HH files to HEM2?

If someone sends me HH files, is there any risk in importing the files to HEM2?

Do I even need to confirm that it's all text / XML files if all I'm doing is importing to HEM2? If screensharingkeylogger.exe was in the folders, would importing risk executing the exe?

Thanks for any info.

I should think universal replayer is the go-to program here. not sure but I think you'd have to paste to a notepad .txt file first.

98% sure there would be no risk, but would be good to hear from dev people on this. An .exe in the folders surely wouldn't be just run - but I wouldn't be so certain of a specially crafted file that appears normal but is designed to exploit.

Do you still play poker? I learned most all of my SQL skills (after basic intro stuff) by studying PT2 / HEM1 / PT3 databases, trying to formulate queries to first retrieve standard stats then for things you cannot get through standard reports / hud. Def a good way to learn when you have actual interest in the results of difficult querying.

I mostly used pgadmin, google and the postgresql online docs (which are excellent)

How do I know if my laptop can run two 30" monitors? I have a Dell Precision with a a NVIDIA Quadro 3000M graphics card. Can I find out if this is possible short of buying a second monitor and trying?

I'm having repeated problems with heavy lag on my computer. I suspect its Holdem Manager, but I can't be 100%. The lag is so heavy I can't start the Task Manager to see what's using CPU. Is there a program I can use which runs in the background and logs what is slowing down my computer? Thank you.

HM1 or HM2? Search our FAQs and Forums for 'performance' and you will find some guides that might help. I can't provide links or much support beyond that outside of our dedicated support thread on the forums but if it doesn't help please start a thread on our forums or email us as this problem is too complex and will likely require a lot of back and forth so it wouldn't be easy to resolve in our support thread here which is designed for quick and easy questions that require a single response from us.

If you are still looking for an answer to this question you would probably get a better answer in the CTH Forum.

this graphics card will support two 2560x1600 displays, the question is whether the laptop has the necessary video outputs

displayport & dual link dvi supports 2560x1600 whereas vga & hdmi doesnt (u can run the 30" monitor at a lower resolution, but i assume u dont want this)

as long as u have two outputs which r displayport and/or dual link dvi it will work, otherwise it wont work

Thanks man. It looks like I'm out of luck with the video outputs however. I only have one displayport and no dual link dvi . Would it work to get a displayport splitter or it doesn't work that way?

Also, how do I find out which graphic cards can power two 30"s? I am looking for a computer that I can travel with which pretty much limits me to laptops. However, needing a laptop and two 30" monitors is a pretty rare need. If I go for say a 3000$ laptop with two display ports will those generally be powerful enough. Thanks again.

Many of Poker players are smart and can work with things that they dont know or understand.

I m using ubotstudio and coding things to manipulate web, i have created some stuff related to poker, like searching player over the popular pokerranking sites with just entering the players name in the software. (not using it anymore)

And i have see that AHK is almost identical thing, but here we manipulate programs.

So please direct me Dave to some tutorial thread related for making AHK scripts for Pokerstars. Or any tutorials which can give me bigger picture how to create this kind of scripts.

splitter wont work

go to manufacturer's website to check specs for video output. most of the newer cards with dedicated memory (min 1GB) will support two 30s

Setcho - note that DisplayPort can "daisychain" monitors so a single port can run more than one panel - support is limited though http://www.overclock.net/t/1356869/a...daisy-chaining

dadaas - where to look depends what you're trying to do, if you elaborate I can probably point you in the right direction / post an example. Check out the Free Software subforum here, there is a lot of AHK code for doing most anything on PokerStars in there. Also the AHK built in help is very very good. So a lot comes to a) find a script you want to understand b) look up each command in AHK help to see the parameters / examples.

A docking station would give you more output options right? Any chance this could work? http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/p...4&sku=331-7950

It says that the docking station that I posted above supports daisychaining. You have any ideas how well that works tho? I did find out that the new Macbook Pro's simultaneously supports full native resolution on the built-in display and up to 2560 by 1600 pixels on up to two external displays. So if I can't get my Dell to work I guess I will buy one of those.

What I did - function to "expand" a hand with + notation into it's full range, e.g. "22+" returns 22,33,44,55 etc, "ATs+" returns "ATs,AJs,AQs,AKs". This is mostly done with a list of "2,3,4,...9,T,J,Q,K,A" - StringTrimLeft the 2nd card, then you have the rest of the list to expand the hand range with. Need to special case for pairs. Also need a function to "fix" wrong-ordered hand input so 67o is always 76o.

Once that's done and you have a fully expanded list of hands, an simple InStr("76o", range) will get you an answer
would you care to share this script ?

I just had to re-install Windows 7 and I have a problem with how the windows behave. When I open a new application like Skype or Firefox it goes under the other programs I'm using. Meaning I have to minimize all my other programs to reach them. What I would like is for new Firefox windows and other programs to open on top of everything else which is how I had it before. What do I need to do?
