Yeah, I've been trying to do this for ages but always give into temptation I did last about 2 weeks in about 2006, but never managed to last more than about 3-4 days since then.

I have a (Party, SNG-specific) script that blocks the balance on the lobby and also the balance displayed on the SNG buy-in screen. Looking in HEM, etc you just have to use willpower though

I know I could probably sift through hundreds of pages to find specific answers to my questions, but if someone could please answer me directly here, that would be appreciated:

What are the best software programs for online poker? If it helps, I'm playing exclusively on Full Tilt right now. I mostly play MTTs and LHE cash games.. but I'll occasionally do SNGs and various other cash games as well.

I've used PT in the past, a couple of times, but it seems at some point that program always runs itself into the ground and becomes unusable for me. Like.. right now, I have it installed on my computer, but it won't even open.

You should use the free trials of PokerTracker 3 (it's completely different to PT2) and Holdem Manager. both are Stat tracking programs that every player should have of some sort. There's also FPDB, a Free alternative available in the Free subforum right here.

For other softwares, you're gonna have to be specific what it is you're wanting.

thanks for the plug Dave

In NoteCaddy tools->manual color coding will expose players' full tilt notes and color codes. You can modify and save them from there as well.

Hello guys, I have got a quick question regarding Holdem Manager:

Is it possible to only purchase it once and use it on various computers whilst using the same poker account? I ask because I play on many different P.C's/Laptops.

The same code can be used on 2 pc's at once and can be reset as often as needed.

Please try using our site to register your current/new license. If your code isn't there already you can upload it manually and then reset the code whenever necessary.

Juk's postclick function only seems to work on pokerstars for me. Is there something I'm missing?

I dont actually have holdem manager yet but I'm getting it this week don't worry . I take it that you can download Holdem Manger on to as many computer's as you like but need a code to access it?

yes, if you have 3 computers (or get a new computer later) you can Clear the code from the help menu on one of them, and enter it into the other, if you need to juggle the code between machines occasionally. You can only use it on 2 of them at once.

Hmm, I made sure to run the script as administrator, but it's still not working. Here's what I have:

Code:
;Juks rocks
PostLeftClick(x, y, ID)
{
	; ### JUK: Send the down left click, then the mouse-up messages.
	; NOTE: This is relative to the top left of the client area and NOT the top left of the
	; window (ie: It *doesn't* include the title-bar like AHK's MouseClick does!!!).

	global border
	global caption

	x := x-border
	y := y - border - caption

	PostMessage, 0x201, 0x0001, ((y<<16)^x), , ahk_id%ID%
	PostMessage, 0x202 , 0, ((y<<16)^x), , ahk_id%ID%
}

the border and caption will need to be set initially with sysget, maybe that?

It's probably not ideal to subtract them in the postclick function - you only need to do so if it's a top-level window with borders/titlebar, and a lot of "windows" are part of another window (any control is a "window", pretty much). Also, it can be avoided by just using client area coordinates to begin with, that's only problematic if you're needing to translate from a mouse position etc.

I was in touch with evplusplus.com and was suggested posting this here:

I'm looking for something like this:

A way to categorize my sessions into blocks, of say 500hands. This way I, for instance, is able to see if my longer sessions tend to be worse in the end than the beginning. Some filtering would also be nice, for instance if my first 500hands of a session have negative bb/100 is this affecting the later blocks of 500 hands...

Does it exist / is it possible to make this?

Thanks a lot man. I may have some more questions when I buy the software.

Theres a lot of talk about different stats in HUD, but from which hands should those stats go ?
In PT3 I can choose either all hands, only current blind level or last xx hands.

All hands are default, but ill get different results for someone I met just on the FT and someone I met on low blinds... Also regulars are pretty much same, so I wont use hundreds of hands much... Like now I see guy with AF 11 on my table (150hands) but only 2,0 as from this session.. kinda confusing...
The current blinds level sounds like too few hands and I dunno about the last xx hands... I would maybe prefer "2 last blinds levels" but thats not an option

So whats generaly used ?

Question 2 :
I dont get the Aggression frequency... Guy on my table, 138 hands already and got AFq 0 (0/3) . Wtf ? How could it be so low... folds or calls on BB dont work ? Omg I saw him shove against SB limper from BB and it still shows 0/3 , what is wrong ???

Aggression Frequency is calculated:

(times bet + times raised) / (times bet + times raised + times called + times folded)

It's basically a percentage of how often the player chooses an aggressive action when given the opportunity. It ignores checks as it's not practical to determine if the check was a sign of weakness or strength (check-raise attempt).

Is there any stat beside the VP and maybe PFR that I can look up to against player I met for the first time and just played 10-30 hands with him ? Because it seems like blinds stealing or afq/af needs huge number of hands...

I've been playing live for years and started messing around online at the micros recently. I'm ready to get serious and think that having poker tracking will help me to improve my game. My plan is to do PT3 60 day trial first to really get used to having a HUD and seeing what's important. Then I'll try HEM and buy whichever I like better. The last time I jumped into something was setting up my account at FT and finding out later I missed out on RB. Is there anything I should know before I jump into these trials? Someway I could've gotten them free? Some awesome RB package when you buy them? Some awesome way to set it up from beginning that you can't do later?

As promised I have just bought poker tracker and it seems like a good piece of kit, however the HUD does not show up when i'm playing. I have watched the setting up video and everything seems to be fine, apart from that my hands dont seem to be importing even though im 'connected' to my full tilt hand histories, anything i can do about this?
