Problem setting up Cake HH converter with Vista

The program requires me to state an input directory, which should be the same folder where my Cake HHs are directly stored. I then need to direct the output folder to the same place my regular HHs are stored.
The problem is these folders only show up when searching inside the Cake or Stars applications, or in PT3. The directory reads C:Users/XXX/Appdata/local
But the Appdata folder is not visible in anything except when in Cake and telling it where to store, or when in explorer.
How do I make these folders visible?
