Pokerstars Theme (free) [main Poker Stars mods thread] - Page 49

Hey guys. Since the Poker Stars update all my "Simple" based tables now have this gold ring around the player boxes. Can you tell me how to fix them. Thanks.

i took this from other xthemes in this thread/forum and changed it up a bit with the dark gloss mod table.
i like the colors.

I fixed this problem resing the files below to 97x37 and the gold ring disappeared

The files are located here:
\PokerStars\Themes\simple\label

border.bmp
borderb.bmp

mspaint, getpaint.net, photoshop, etc

Edit > Image Size > Resize (or similar)

I have it in mspaint but it goes by either pixel size or inches. is the 97,37 the pixel size?

yes

You may need to also resize the alpha-masks > border.a.bmp and borderb.a.bmp, if you notice any weird transparency issues.

I am just speculating, as I didn't have this problem with any of my themes, because all of my border/borderb files were as big or bigger than the 101x49 size in the C:\Program Files\PokerStars\Themes\simple\label folder.

where have you found the cards?
they're originally for FTP, and I can't find them anywhere for stars

Pretty sure they are/were posted in this thread. I made them.

Post #419 has the Standard (STD) size versions. Just search for posts by me from a similar time-frame for the Oversized (XX) versions.

Thanks for the help fozzy. Here is a pic of the problem. I changed the alpha-masks to the same size as the other boxes.

What is the name of the xtheme you are modifying in the themes menu list? Is it a no images version of hyper-simple you are making yourself? If so, you need to edit the xthemes.ini code to use the proper theme base.

-Close stars and open this file: C:\Program Files\PokerStars\XThemes\xthemes.ini

-Find your theme name in the code.

-It probably says either:

Code:

base=ordinary@pokerstars.com

Code:

base=stars@pokerstars.com

Change it to the no images theme base:

base=simple@pokerstars.com

Yes it is one I made myself. I have it in the xthemes folder under my tables. It worked fine for a while just after a stars update a few weeks ago all my "simple" based tables did this. I have the base for this table set to Simple now.

Base=simple@pokerstars.com

Please post a screen shot of all the files of the \label\ directory of your xtheme. Make sure that windows explorer is set to View > Thumbnails.

Or if you want, you can zip up your entire xtheme and subfolders and pm me a download link so I can see it first hand.

The problem is your border.bmp/border.a.bmp and borderb.bmp/borderb.a.bmp. They are allowing some of the default theme images to show thru. You want something more like this.
