Having issues with my umbra theme ,after having been forced to update PS.
chip/deck work fine but I'm unable to select the table theme, it shows in the menu but asks me to install Azure (which is currently installed).
never normally have this issue when having a forced update.

Any help please would be appreciated thanks

That removes the messages and gives me a broken theme. Do you know which folders I need to move from the backed up folder into the new folder to make it identical please?

Ok, here's the weird problem I ve got after the recent update.

At first like everyone else, I had xthemes not working but I solved the problem after the instructions received in this thread. Thank you.

However, after I select my Xtheme -which is based on the slick theme- and restarting when I reopen a table, the client reverts to the Nova theme. I can then manually select my xtheme, but that's a bit of a hassle to do every time I restart the client.

If I do select a different theme like Slick or Black, the client keeps it without reverting to Nova when I restart. Also, I do have another xtheme based on nova which also doesn't revert. As an experiment, I copied all the files of that xtheme and copied them on the folder of the xtheme that's giving me trouble and I still have the same issue. So it's not the files within the xtheme.

This would indicate that this is an issue with the gx.ini file that I have edited.

However, the slick theme upon which my problematic xtheme is based on doesn't revert.

I am perplexed. Any ideas?

Hey G3K0, back at the end of 2013 you said you might have these decks buried on a hard drive someone. I know it's been a little while, but do you still have the files floating around? I would love to use them.

Does anyone know is there any mod for Stars cards to look like these from HoldemManager 2 Replayer?

BTW i tried to hide information window but it only works for cash. For tournaments/sng it shows info window still, but only for hyper-simple theme. For noimg it works as it should be.

Hey guys having trouble with mighty mouse theme with new poker stars update.

when I try to change the table them, its telling me this theme requires 'oldblack@pokerstars.com' to be install.

Anyone has any clue on what to do?

Close PokerStars client.
Go to C:\Program Files\PokerStars\XThemes.
Open xthemes.ini.
Find the line "base=oldblack@pokerstars.com" and change it to "base=oldblack"
Save and close xthemes.ini.
Run PokerStars client using custom desktop shortcut for avoiding update during start.

...im using the fulltilt poker look-a-like mod for PS (from tiltbuster.com).
I still have a Pokerstars 6 Client, not updated to 7 untill now.
Will my mod work with 7? Guess not....
Will simply editing the gx file fix it?

How do I add a custom chip set to ps?
Ive tried this, but doesnt work.

1. Download your chip set (it should be a collection of seven folders titled 0-6 with various BMP files)
2. Make sure your PokerStars client is closed. Navigate to the PokerStars folder in Windows. In OSX go to Applications and then command-click PokerStars. Select show content package.
3. Go to resources
4. Go into the GX folder
5. Go into the chips&deck folder
6. Open the chips folder
7. Copy/paste all seven folders from your downloaded custom chip set
8. They are duplicate folders and you will be asked if you want to replace them. Click OK for all of them.
9. Start POKERSTARS
10. You should see your new chips at the table

chips now need to be .PNG files
you need to edit
and add the following line to the very top of the file.
which tells the client not to update i.e. not to overwrite all the chips that you have just installed.

when you want to run updates, change the 0 to 1 and update the client.

You could also run PokerStars.exe instead of PokerStarsUpdate.exe.
