as for 3 cards...well, wtf were you messing with in your gx.ini file? =]

is that a 9h omaha mtt/sng? my guess is that you've gota typo / cut'n paste glitch when amending the default card spacing variables in the construction of the cards / deck make-up.

to be honest I'm not sure what's going on there.

if you have been mixing and matching gx. amendments I'd advise to reconstruct and test as you add each element.
can you please see the file? Please?

This might be a dumb question, since it's the first time I'm using the pokerstars client (ever), but here goes. I really love the "Nova" theme, but there seem to be some issues with it:

- The pre-select actions (check/fold, call any, ...) checkboxes seem to have a wrong offset and go out of the bottom bar
- The hand strength text does not display (e.g. "you have jack high")

and some other minor cosmetical issues. My question is, is it possible to edit this official theme? I tried opening the ini file in notepad, but it seems to be a binary, or perhaps encoded in a non-standard character encoding. Is there anything I can do to fix these things myself? Or perhaps there's a Nova clone that is editable?

Sorry if these are silly questions, I know nothing about modding pokerstars themes.

Hi,

I'm trying to figure out how to use the Bicycle Deck from this page:

http://digitalpokerdecks.tumblr.com/page/4

Is there a FAQ some where that describes the procedure?
I don't exactly know where to put them.
I see the gx directory and chips&deck, but what I see in the deck
directory does not match the filenames in the downloaded deck...

Thanks!

convert to bmp and overwrite: gx/chips&deck/deck/default/back.bmp

overwrite: gx/chips&deck/deck/preview/deck_preview_back.png

like this

@botweaver would you post your WSOP cardbacks (the black and white ones) converted for the new stars client?

This line needs to be in the [table] section of your theme's ini, add it if its not there.

So you want to edit the 3rd set of coords to move the icon. This will also move the previous hand number. So you then have to edit the 2nd set of coords to put the previous hand number to where you want it, the 2nd set of coords seem to be offset from the icon.
Works. I was able to move the small 'replay hand' button away from the 'hand 312312332' text. The X coordinate of 'hand 312312332' seems to be following the small 'replay hand' button where ever it goes like you said, so I edited the second coordinate set after deciding the location of the red circle/3rd coordinate set as instructed and changed it from the default 4,20 to -100,20 and it didn't move at all. So second coordinate set's value set as either one I just mentioned the HH text stays in this same spot, so I dunno how to get the HH text moved more left compared to the red circle:

history-offset-space=-280
history-offset-curr-game-no=0
history=0,370 0,390 245,509 20,360

so my replayer button is at (x,y) 245,509 controlled by the 3rd co-ordinate pair
I have put the HH reference at (x,y) 0,370, controlled by the 1st co-ord pair

now...the odd part

2nd co-ord pair controls the previous hh ref. you can ignore the x value, this is determined by the x value of the button; the y value is from the top of the table space not an offset from the button.

the history-offset-space section moves your previous hand ref left or right of the x-value for the replayer button.

logically it would need to be -245 to be placed on the edge of the table-space, but a few tweaks and -280 seemed to work, perhaps it is centred, perhaps the co-ords of the button were from the button centre...perhaps...w/e you get the gist.

Firstly you only get the hand strength on play money tables.

If the Nova theme is glitchy, it will soon be fixed, its a built in theme created by I think, Bar Nuthin who posts here.

You can edit the official themes, if you are new to modding then its probably best to do that.

To edit the gx.ini files you have to decrypt them first. A few years ago somebody posted a link in this thread for a small program that does it. But I've also seen some people mention Table Crab for editing the files, I've never tried it so have no idea if its true.

+1 to layton, I think table crab is on the git hub repository? but you can find it via google.

this won't help you with gx settings (As afaik there is no released guide) but can get you going on modding <mod guide> <pokerstars theme integration guide>

“Helvetica Nue” PokerStars is compatible, tried it today.

“iFloatU” Deck PokerStars seems down too.

I wonder if there is any program that is possible to change the gx (coordinates) and is displayed an image of the subject, to see how to become this work. At the end saved the gx, and we could use, would be much easier. I read in a forum something like: layout editor.
