I'd like to replace the Pokerstars logo that appears in the centre of my Hypersimple themed table (and possibly a few other themed tables too) with a different logo.

I am willing to pay someone whatever the going rate is to do this for me. (I had a quick go myself, but without success.) Please respond in this thread if you can help.

kkghgf. This is pretty late, but hanks for advicing me how to remove the 'Tournament Table' text on page 409 & 410 a month ago and thanks to whoever adviced him also . I thought it's pretty hard to do even with that program so I delayed it untill now. Was really easy to do with those instructions in the end.

After doing that (decrypting & encrypting with TableCrab2) I started thinking if I'd also be able to do this to move those two 'pot size texts' around (normally positioned top center and the one positioned under the cards/board/flop):

So I just need someone to tell me what 'top center pot text' and what 'below deck/board pot text' are called in gx.ini?

For the logo removal (or change) you need to locate tlg files for your theme. They are usually in the label-folder. You need to copy the black picture and save it as the logo picture (or just open the logo picture and change it with paint).

ROM: I suspect that hyper-simple theme uses tlg files from PokerStars\gx\label folder, since the theme itself dont seem to have these files included.

Cheers, after finding out hot to remove these myself (took a couple of months) I´m happy to help out where I can.

You will need gimp and png2bmp. Download the Pokerstars theme integration guide here.

Assume you'd want to use this logo:


- create a folder "newlogo" on your desktop
- open the logo with gimp
- (resize it if necessary; the Pokerstars logo is 171*34px so your logo shouldn't be much bigger)
- make sure Image/Mode is set to RGB
- Layer/Transparency/Add Alpha Channel
- Layer/Transparency/Color to Transpareny... (chose black)
- save as logo.png in "newlogo" (make sure it is saved as PNG)

logo.png looks like this:


- put png2bmp.exe into "newlogo"
- in "newlogo", create a file logo.bat
- rightclick logo.bat -> edit
- type this line into the file, then save and run it:
This creates those 2 files in "newlogo":

(tlg-w.bmp)

(tlg-w.a.bmp)

- go to "...\pokerstars\gx\label", cut the original tlg-w.bmp and tlg-w.a.bmp and paste them somwhere else as a backup
- copy tlg-w.bmp and tlg-w.a.bmp from "newlogo" to "...\pokerstars\gx\label"

That's it. After the next restart of Pokerstars (make sure you run pokerstars.exe instead of pokerstarsupdate.exe) your tables should look like this:

I downloaded this and installed the WIDE option. I´m using show full hole cards. For some reason the diamonds still have the side panels showing in white, which is a bit disturbing. Otherwise a fantastic deck!

I'll fix it, and re-upload, but you can select 4 Color Deck in the client Options/Table Display Options, and that will also fix it. TYVM for pointing it out!

Ty Baophan. I'm able to move total_pot, but didn't try others yet.

So i'm thinking how i'm gonna place all these side pots and everything and while having the table fully minimized. It's very puzzling have to say. There's not much space at all and while having the chips visible and texts made bigger with that bat file. So got few questions about possible solutions that could help with this:

1. Is it possibe to make the mainpot and sidepot chips disappear (I don't mean the numbers) without making the bet chips disappear? I realize this is about editing the chips with image processing program, so i'm guessing it's not possible?

2. Is it possible to make the background color/graphic of total_pot completely transparent? Where is this file located for example in ordinary theme? I've tried to look...

3. Is it possible to remove the 'Pot:' text from total_pot so it only shows the numbers?

Found a problem. That [6x2] isn't in gx.ini at all or maybe Table Crab can't fully decrypt the file? You can count the number of columns from it. Every column is in the picture and the text that goes outside the picture definately doesn't have any [6x2] in it...

all parameters that are not included in the ini, it will be automatically removed from the ini from the default folder.

just copy the missing parameters of the default ini, and paste it in your ini, then edit it as you like.

I'm not sure I follow. Where do I get the missing parameters? This gx.ini is the default Pokerstars gx.ini from ordinary (theme) folder, the file was never opened or decrypted before. I always copy pasted a new one from the default gx.ini after i had tested 'total_pot' positions by changing the coordinates.

I noticed that if I open default Pokerstars unedited gx.ini for the first time it puts columns fine, it seems to miss that information though, but if I decrypt and open the same edited gx.ini again after having encrypted it before all that, then it doesn't put columns on the decrypted information for some reason. So it does decrypt it, but puts everything on the same line. So for that reason I always copy pasted a new gx.ini, still it misses that information, which I dont understand. The column thing seems like a bug by Table Crab program so that made me think that there's probably another bug that makes it miss some information, so for that reason i'm now wondering if there are any other decrypting programs out there.

&default is the default gx ini which should contain all global gx settings

any theme's gx will override the &default's settings, if the theme's gx does not contain any parameters for some issue then the settings will be taken from the default gx file.

no you cannot remove chips from the pot / total pot and still have chips displayed for bet

no you cannot remove the 'pot:' text from the total pot line afaik. well, not entirely true, you could probably decrypt the i18n.msg_cli.txt file and change what the entry is, i.e. replace text for a blank space; however, I have no idea how to do this.

if you're editing the gx file then change your table font sizes via the [fonts] section in the gx rather than using a batch file to alter the font files inside the program directory

depending on the age of the theme the total pot background might be part of the [total_pot] section, the [images] section or the actual table graphic fg.bmp itself.

I'm glad that someone else is discovering how *** difficult it can be sometimes to design layouts and how little space there is to move elements around the table and preserve/increase playability

have a second problem with the new border-glow feature

I use a custom theme based on slick base theme

in my custom folder I have no border-glow.png. I guess that it uses the slick .png file - but if I change the color to red par ex. it is stil a white square (default)

if I copy a border-glow.png to custom folder this has no effect

I guess I need to change anything in gx.ini
or how can I use the file in custom folder ?

Ok thanks for the help. I'll be testing more in a bit. Now I get it and I just realized how dumb I was. I didn't realize there's a '&default' folder in themes folder at all. So I was wondering where this default gx.ini is, untill I used windows search for it in Pokerstars folders and saw that one gx.ini that is over twice as big as the others, lol...

So I should pretty much replace that 'Ordinary theme's' gx.ini fully with the &default folder's gx.ini and then add all the values from Ordinary's gx.ini in it or is it better to change values in default gx.ini straight away and not copy paste in Ordinary's gx.ini? My guess is it's better to copy paste everything from 'Default' to 'Ordinary' incase I would swap between theme layouts?

In this case i'm sure that total_pot's background box isn't part of the table background or table skin, so that whole box (background of total_pot and the text of total_pot) move entirely based on what the coordinates are in this case. I get what you mean though, where in some backgrounds there's that 'Options' for example already in the background, which btw i happened to remove from the background. I find that 'Options' graphic completely useless if one is trying to save space. Right now I have total_pot over 'Options' text (or the location where Options would be without the graphic) as it's not very hard to forget that I just need to click 'total_pot' to get into options. If you have HUD on top of options, then you can't go to options, so it's better to have something like 'total_pot' on top of 'Options' wherever 'Options' happens to be located. So that's one handy trick I learned so far.
