I'm neither related to tiltbuster.com nor pokerlayout.ru so I've made this picture above as a disinterested observer. In my opinion one site is selling rip-offs. I don't believe in coincidence, they use the same base design with exactly the same colours, just changed the font and added/removed the symbol of the suits etc.

to modders, just had a quick 2 second hack with an xTheme...can someone tell me why I would use png2bmp / mskmgr ever again? which images aren't PNG'able??
I'm going to test them one by one obv, but if I don't have to batch an entire chipset, deckpack, theme imageset again I'd be delighted...and if the answer is already known then that could save me some downtime.
are there client-side disadvantages between bmp + 8bit mask vs 24-bit PNG files?
sorry, i'm on the hop today and brain too fried / too lazy to google it allmyself, so if someone has the knowledge that would be appreciated.

might be going to have a convo here between the left and right side of my brain.
quick substitution of all/nearly all of /lables, /ctrls folders seemed to pull through fine.
it might be that best practice is to adhere to bmp + .a.bmp mask files but I'll be lazy with my dev testing and alpha stages

Geko, could you please post or PM me some (big) screenshots of png in use? Just curious how it looks. Also, does it affect mutlitabling, esp in regards of RAM usage? (You're on a Mac, aren't you? Do you know if the Win client can handle png as well?)

As the PNG files are scaled up you can see some degradation in the sharpness, esp vis the transparency layer.
Not tested on PC as yet, see no reason why it would not be the same.
the table, all buttons, seats & empty seat images are in PNG here; cards & chips are the standard bitmap + 8bit mask
the links should show large screens.
