no suggestions on a good looking but HUD friendly layout?

I can make my own chips/decks/even table BG's .. just no idea on the .ini stuff is all

what draws me to it:
- no random links taking up space (top left etc).. small icons top right instead
- clean simple background, great for hud use
- full face pocket cards
- smaller redesigned textbox/info panel
- 16:9 variant (although not sure how useful this will be)



ill wait untill i get soem responses of either simular themes or confirmation it wasnt stolen and ill buy it.

Would you mind to stop spreading their link around now that you know they sell 'stolen' stuff? Instead, look on the trustwothy sites such as tiltbuster and vvolfskinz etc, I'm pretty sure you'll find a similar theme on any of those sites (if not the same - the above looks very similar to a vvolfskinz mod esp as it is a 16:9 mod, no wonder Jimmy is a bit upset).

Fwiw themes using a modded gx.ini (like the above) won't work atm, you have to wait until the next PS update anyway. Trustworthy sellers would have told you that and probabaly don't even sell these mods atm.

Update on gx.ini editing

the .FR and .IT sites have rolled back with the latest update - I would expect the main site to update on Monday probably

I would warn that this is probably temporary until they decide how they want to handle the issue - and how much creative freedom they want to allow users to have with regards to table layout

but at least our efforts in the "Stars Improvement Thread" made them aware of what the players want - thanks to all who posted

ok so as it stands all you can do then is backgrounds and cards/chips? No gx.ini editing would mean no moved/custom buttons, menus / full face cards etc?

heres the EPT season 7 chips ive been working on..


ive used offical colors where i can either find the information/images to work from then made up all the others just so each chip is different. EPT use 10k chips.. stars doesnt so i assigned the scheme to another chip.

I also found conflicting images of the 500,000 and hte 100,000 chips.. where they used differnt colors for the same denom.. sop i used hte chips from the morst recent (san Remo)..

obviously not totally finished but im nearly happy with them.

I was going to have a look at the EPT chips over the next couple of weeks but having seen yours I'm not going to bother

How are they at various sizes / do you have to oversize for small tables?

Only initial feedback I'd have is that as you've been faithfull to the geniune chips the denomination text are going to be useless...you might want to tinker with the hue/pitch of the 1k/25k/500k and similar hue chip groupings.

Obv it's no biggie as ppl will have the chip values in text alongside the stacks and everything is context dependent during a game...

Correction, Mac client has been updated to 4.633 but there is still a hash key in the ini files and any edits > fubar atm

haha, well i dont know whether to throw them up free or try and get a few bucks a pop for them.. just so i can use that money to buy a simple table theme etc.. y'know like a trade in. Once I've finalised the look/feel im going to throw them all into a set to see how they look at each size.. I'd suggest the smallest ones will look fairly pants, but the look good in the '6' folder.

I'm far from happy with them really.. not as 'smooth' as i would like.. in in response.. the denominations are correct to Pokerstars NOT EPT.. but what i meant was, where EPT and pokerstars are the same, I've used the right(official) colors, if that makes sense?

i'll tinker a little with the hues, but using various images and feedback from one mate whos been to an ept I think they are accurate where possible.

fairly accurate chart:

SEASON 7 Denoms
*** = official - EPT accurate

1c = guessed/made up
5c = guessed/made up
25c = guessed/made up
1 = guessed/made up
5 =guessed/made up
25 = green***
100 = black***
500 = purple***
1k = red***
5k = yellow***
25k = blue/ light blue inside* (officialy the 10k EPT chip)
100k = black/green ***
500k = yellow/brown***
1M = guessed/made up
5M = guessed/made up
Dealer = clear + PS logo + 'DEALER' text*** (should be transparent though)


anything lower than 25 or over 500k was made up.

looking for a pokerstars theme that autoswitch backgrounds when a final table is there ( like the standard at Ftilt ).

best ask the guys in the software update thread, this is something that would be handled client side unless someone can write an AHK script that reads the number of tables left in the game form the tournament lobby.

kinda wishing id done these in vector in illustrator now.. the pixels are suffering at the smaller sizes :-/


might have to start again.. especially if i want summat people will pay a few bucks for.. might be ok for my own use though.

its worth the effort going vector imo esp if you want to distribute.
