I'll take a free deck for PokerStars. I hate their options. I already have a mod table i like, but dont know how to do their cards.

I don't think anyone that would have modded the "10" to a "T" would have done it on the original font of the original hyper simple deck. They don't like the original deck. That's why they made their own.

Maybe it's a language barrier thing, but you come off pretty poorly when you get snippy with the guys who are trying to help you while asking them to do the help for free.

Like Fozzy said, if you were much of a card modder you could have made your own "T" in the time you've spent asking for someone else to provide it for you.

1.) I modded the cardbases allready. So the cards are allready different to the original Stars ones. But I liked to have the Stars font. And about this I asked for help. I havent asked for any other card-mods to buy, which I dont need and dont want.

2.) Didnt want to offend someone. But on another forum I allready read that people are spammed from psthemes-people to buy their themes.

It would have been ok, when he had allready done the work (in the way I want the cards) and I could have bought the cards and use them free and without any licence as this would have saved my time and is only 1-2BB for me. I asked more than one time, but every answer was like: "bla bla... buy my cards (which I dont need)... bla bla give you one for free (which I dont need)". And yes after the second answer I was a bit upset. And btw: Nothing of this helped me. It just costs my time. My call for help was clear from my first post in this thread... The answers were just time consuming.

3.) I made it allready now for all sizes. Thanks for the help. Thread is closed for me now.

LOL. I only frequent 2 other forums, and I asked a moderator permission at each site before making any type of spammy OP. Both sites I am referring to I gave away a free item to everyone that asked, and the Admins/Mods at those forums were fine with it.

I just gave away 110+ copies of my FTP Table pack to 2+2'ers for X-Mas free of charge. I hosted free download links, for no hassle downloads. That was a $1,000+ gift from me to this forum. I often give away free items to random 2+2'ers.

All of my stuff was free until ~ October when I learned to compile self installers. I used to spend lots of time explaining how to manually install mods - now I charge a small "convenience fee" for simplicity of installation. I couldn't justify charging in the past when people had to manually copy/rename/paste various images to try to make a mod work. The value in my packages are the packages them self, and the lack of hassles that result.

So sure, I sometimes say buy my deck instead of offering a free one, or offering to spend an hour of my time making one for free. That's because they are cheap, simple, and hassle free. Most people would rather spend $7 and have a deck installed in <1 minute, than spend a few hours (days?) trying to photoshop their own deck. If I didnt know how to make my own decks, I would gladly pay a small fee to save the time and hassle of doing it myself.

What do you want honk? I just started the mod. I give it away for free like my others when I want and when it is finished. If you are really interested... look for example at the layout page of PA-Hud.

Man open your eyes and see it: I had a clear question for help and you "bla bla" and wasted my time, which makes my angry.

If I go to a taxi-driver and asked if he can bring me to the airport, because I am in a hurry... And he explained me half an hour how beautiful a taxi-ride to the harbour would be ("give one for free!")... I would be in an similar mood like with you now.

Maybe he misunderstood your question. But he tried to help. In fact, he is the only one who made any response to your request. WTF is your problem? You're the one who was asking for help.

If I were in your spot and I was uninterested in what Fozzy was offering, I'd say "Thanks man, but that's not quite what I'm looking for." And if I asked again for the specific mod you were looking for and he offered me something else not quite what I'm after, I'd either accept what he offered or I would POLITELY decline and either give up or go to work on it myself.

It would never occur to me to get hostile with someone who's trying to help me. I would have to be a real jerk to do that. Which is what you are.

any theme's for the mac client?

nothing that is publishable yet. teh mac version still isn't theme friendly. I wish i had access to a mac system so i could experiment

i think there have been some people with limited success modding mac tables though

I also made some themes for myslef but decided to begin sharing for free.

My first quick public one themed after my site. If there is enough interrest i will spend more time on creating more free themes.



Installation

1. Download the files here (sorry thanks to hotlinkers you need to register)
2. Unzip and copy 18v folder to program files - pokerstars - xthemes (If you do not have a XThemes folder in your pokerstars directory then just create one)
3. open your xthems.ini file in notepad and add at the bottom (if you dont have one then open notepad, add the code below and ave the file ass all files with filename xthems.ini)

4. go back to your pokerstars main folder and delete a file called _updcache.dat
5 start pokerstars and select the them, note them requires azure them so if you havent installed azure please do so.

I would like to take a shot at making a deck or even a table for poker stars, I first would like to start with a deck. I have paint shop pro, not photo shop. Can someone give me a step by step on how to go about making a deck, then how to put it into stars?

the tables are tons easier than the cards, so i'd suggest you start there

At the bottom of this linked page, is the "Stars Themes Integration Guide", that is the best place to start, imo. Stars is rather complicated and tedious to modifiy. GL

I really like the rounded corners a lot more for the boxes that contain the player names. If it's possible to do this rounded corner look on the no images mod you do for me, that's the way I would like it.

I downloaded the Themes file from stars and unziped it, I seen the gave me a brown table to start with, do I just put that in paint shop pro and start changing colors and things I want?

That is a sample/example theme for you to install, so you can see how a theme is built and installed. Making a new table/theme is a matter of starting from scratch and reproducing an entire table/theme like their example theme.

Thats alot of work, I still may try for fun to see if I can come up with something. I may just buy one for now. I saw a nice deck on I like on psthemes, Do you know if they do custom work? Like if I send them a few ideas on what I want for a table.

Yes Bar Nuthin and Fozzy (me) @ PSThemes can do custom work, but turn-around time obviously varies, depending on our current project load.

If you want a Custom Theme, we have a Custom Orders Forum where you can make a thread posting your custom request, and we can reply there to answer your questions.
