My HEM is officially toast. I cannot get the bloody thing to work (I assume it has something to do with whole Vista update thing).

While I try to beat HEM into submission, does anybody know of any software available that can be used to record notes on players? I play on PS and tbh their notes are pretty bad. Im thinking of something similar to what HEM does already.

Also if anybody can think of a quick way to fix HEM it would be much appreciated. I honestly couldnt care less about my database as I havent been playing for a while and I can always get my hands sent to me. I'd be quite happy to start from scratch again but I cant even manage that right now.

Download the Pokertracker 3 Beta 27.1 and use the new notes function through the HUD while fixing HEM. I think you get 30 days free.

dangerdoom,

You could uninstall HEM and postgres from add/remove programs then use the program at bottom of my post to get rid of all remnants of both programs. You would lose your database, but you said that is cool. This would effectively give you a start from a system that had never had both programs. Theoretically, if all you care about is HEM working, then this should work, assuming HEM's current version works. I will assume with over 99% certainty that is does.

The programs is from Microsoft, is free and I was directed to it from 2p2er Tarath. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301

Excellent advice imo. I wonder if that CleanUp Utility cleans up the postgres user also. This is the way I always uninstalled/reinstalled SQL.

You must *fully* remove PostgreSQL if you want to install it again.

- Uninstall from control panel.
- manually delete the Program Files\Postgresql folders
- run the command "net user postgres /delete"
- reboot.
- install again, as admin, with UAC off.

If you uninstall/reinstall HEM also, make sure that you install the latest full package, and the newest update from the HEM forums.
