Zodskins:
That is a sweet lobby you made. The table looks very nice too of course, but i agree it is too bright for multi tabling. It is pleasant to look at tough.
Are you planning to sell these? (I'm not a big fan of paying for mods, but i guess it is time consuming, and have become alittle business for some)

I'm not sure about selling it or w/e. Not as popular as I expected, oh well.

I'll darken the game table and upload a shot of that shortly, just for fun

Ok, here's a dark one, I like dark themes as well but it's a fine line

02-05-2008 , 01:20 PM
Looks much nicer, imo.

FWIW - That table skin will NOT work with Full Tilt Shortcuts most likely. The color around the player names/stacks must be pure black, no gradient for FTSC to read stack sizes. The Bet buttons would also likely be a problem - so many people that use my mods had trouble w/ FTSC BetPot feature, that I finally just put all default bet button images back in my packages.

*Just noticed the SN in the Screen-grab - are you Richard Brodie?

Please do continue, the theme's are very very nice. When people want darker colors its for easy and fast play. Its good that someone makes some that are nicer to look at also.

Hey thanks!

This one is called 'iTILT', kind of inspired from a Mac OS. So, a little lighter, glass/gel buttons, brushed metal etc.

I'm thinking of doing one called FTP Vista, Quite a few Vista users out there
it would be much darker.

Maybe I'll start up a website and offer many different skins, I dunno.

The majority of players on these types of poker forums aren't looking for flashy and pretty skins. Most of them are multi tabling HUD users (like me) and want to see the critical things - Cards, HUD stats, Action, etc. There are many people that like the more stylized themes as well. They just don't frequent the forums as much.

Many people that play 1-2 tables (often tourney players), love to have a variety of stylized themes. You will just have to work a bit harder to let them see your work. Bar Nuthin makes some amazing Stars Table Themes, that are completely beyond my ability, originality, and time constraints.

I for one would love to see some new stylish themes for FTP. There are many people that would love your skins (especially the Lobby Skins, imo). I personally never had time to work on lobby images as I spend so much time making the table and card images. In the 9-10 months since I started modding I estimate I have easily spent 600 - 900 hours learning and creating poker mod's. I barely ever have time to play poker as it is - if I skinned the lobbies too, I would never play a hand.

I agree, everyone has such different tastes.

This was my first poker skin, just wanted to give it a trial run, see what the community really wants.

I think 10-20 full blown skins would offer a better choice for certain.
I like the minimalistic stuff myself, some don't.

I think I could pump out around 20 themes in 2-3 months...I better get busy

Thanks for the feedback.

LOL - I know the feeling. Luckily once you have created a basic library of shape images, it should be pretty easy to edit your original files, and make some different color themes for the lobby images.

I am currently re-creating all of my decks from scratch and updating almost every image in my Table Pack for FTP (and doing the same for Stars mods). I figure I easily have 150-250 hours of work to do in the next 4 weeks to try and get the new ThemeShop filled up with all new mod's by me.

Something I just started working on...

Not finished yet.

Thoughts?

I have a question...I have been lurking on here and learning from your posts. You guys are amazing with your mods.
Anyway, I took a screenshot of my game today. It really irritated me for this reason. If you look closely I am at the bottom with the 10 and 3. The guy to the right has a 8 and 3 of Spaids. According to the cards I should have won with two pair. Yet it says he won with a flush!! How is this right??? There are no spaids showing on the table. Are my cards messed up or does this just happen sometimes??? Please clear this up for me...I just need to know if it is my cards or the game.

You can even read what it says he won with and what I had, just not what is on the table....???

You apparently renamed a cards0.png as cardsmall.png. THe suit orders are flip-flopped on the cardsmall image. The hand replayer uses cards3.png for the community cards, and cards0.png for the hole cards.

Cards0 (My oversized XX version)

cardsmall

I don't know how to change that. All the pics of cards are the same.
02-06-2008 , 04:26 AM
It requires Photoshop to actually make one to match. Or to actually find the proper, original cardsmall.png for the deck you are using. I don't use those cards, I actually dis-liked them a lot, and as a result I don't have any cardsmall.png to match that deck.

Hopefully someone that uses that deck has one for you.

I have a few other decks to use but all the pics are the same. I had to resize all of them like it said on here. But I didn't realize that they were different for the cardsmall.

I like the cards that are colored this way. Easier for me to see the suits by the color of the card. Do you have any suggestions for cards?

I make lots of various decks for FTP in self-extracting installers. Check my profile for a link to the site and PM me if you have any more questions.
