Hey everyone.
I'm excited to annouce that PokerObserver HUD is now available for public beta testing.
Before you download it, however, please note a few things:
A Few Tips
PokerObserver HUD is pretty user-friendly and self-explanatory, especially for users with previous HUD experience. However, there are a few things you should be aware of before you start.
1. The Quick Action Panel is the starting place. Hit the down arrow to open the Cockpit, where you will control all the stat properties and other key functionality. You can move the Quick Action Panel by dragging the orange bar; if you right click the orange bar, you can save its location.
2. To line up the stats nicely, go to the Misc tab and use the snap-to-grid functionality.
3. Once you have your layout the way you want, you will need to save it. PokerObserver HUD is based on themes. You don't ever need to create a new theme, but you'll need to save changes to the current theme if you want to save your stat selections and locations for future sessions.
4. Among other key functionality, pay attention to the "Preface" property for each stat -- clear that to remove the letters from before the stat if you wish. Also, note the ability to copy seat locations to other seat locations.
5. Combo stats are particularly flexible, allowing you to use any "separator" you want, or add a space between the separators. Also, tooltips work by recognizing which stat you are hovering over.
Limitations
* This version works only for FTP Hold 'Em cash games using either Holdem Manager or PokerTracker 3. I have not tested it extensively on limit hold 'em games but they seem to work fine.
* Several "non-essential" features are disabled, such as notes functionality and hand history functionality
Whats Next
I plan on adding the following priority items very quickly:
* Stars and Party support (others to come soon)
* Hero session stats
* Notes functionality
* Hand history functionality
* Postion-oriented stats
* More HEM stats (and PT3 upon request)
* Tournament support
I will prioritize PEV support as soon as its released.
I also have some other ideas up my sleeve that I believe will take the HUD experience to another level. But I'm holding that under wraps for now.
Finally, one last thing: I have built this with flexibility in mind. While I believe I have a lot of good ideas, some of which you will see over time, I know I haven't thought of everything. So if you have any good ideas, share them -- the likelihood is that I can do it and probably will if its a good enough idea.
Please post any bugs or suggestions here or at my forums at

Enjoy.
