Grunching, some probably already asked and answered questions:

Can I have multiple layouts, say for HU and 6max?
If yes, can it auto detect the table type or do I have to manually switch it?
Will the stats be the same when Omaha is supported by the trackers?
Is there any replay ability, or any way to add/edit notes away from the table?
The PO site forums (and this thread) seem pretty dead, is that because everything is nice and stable and everyone is happy?

Those are the biggies I have for now.

Yes, you can have a different layout for each table type. Also, you can have multiple layouts for the same table type (no other HUD allows this as far as I know). I called them themes. So when you play Omaha, you would just just switch the theme to the "Omaha" theme you've created.

The forums are dead because there aren't many bugs to fix I believe. Also, there just aren't very many users. The interest died when PT3 came out with its HUD, despite all the problems he had with it. I will continue to support my current users but I don't plan on adding any more sites to it. I was planning on providing PEV support when it comes out but Phil seems intent on providing a tracker/hud combo.

In the meantime, I'm working on something else that you all should like which I'll be announcing in the next couple of weeks.

Edit: and yes, it autodetects the table type.

Can you take/edit notes away from the table (for like when I see something in a hand review that warrants a note on a player?)

If you can do that I really cannot imagine how this is not more popular. I haven't played with HEM since open beta, but I am very far from thrilled with PT3's hud, and a hud I could set up and maintain (with notes) and move around with me is sounding mighty appealing right about now. If it worked with PT2 and PTO I would have bought it months ago when I first heard about it, but since I play a lot of Omaha I decided to wait for PEV to get released. sigh.

Sorry I abandoned the notes a while back. My implementation was pretty cool but I felt it cluttered the screen and created other problems. I never got much push for the notes so I never resumed the work on it.

I actually wouldn't mind adding that back but it won't be until after I release my new product.

Man I just had some great notes ideas that revolve around notes templates and context sensitive notes.

Tried to play with the demo. I am unsure how to configure the thing (I didn't see any how to) and eventually kept getting this error:

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

No biggie if you are not really doing anything to it right now. I was just going to try out the stat themes.

I've never seen that before. Can you tell me what you were doing when that happened? If you could repeat the error, I could likely fix it quickly.

Basically, you start out with a Basic theme for each table type (6 max, 9 max etc). If you make any changes to the layout (add/delete stats, change fonts, move stats, etc), the layout won't save unless you save it. You can click the "Save" icon on the quick action panel on the table to do this. Thus, if you moved a stat and then saved it, the Basic theme for that table type would now forever move that stat where you moved it. If you wanted to save it as a new theme, you'd go to the themes tab in the Cockpit and save as new theme.

The key is to save the theme after you change it...You can know if you have made any changes to the theme if the save button is available.

Hope that helps.

I had pt3 running and opened a stars table (just observing). It saw the table, but nothing showed up, so I unselected and reselected it. It is definitely repeatable.

I just wanted to get a table up to play with the hud and configure it while not having to actually play at the same time. Maybe I should do my configuring on an observed Full Tilt table?

You should be able to sit at a NL2 table, and play one orbit, and then the stats will stay up for quite some time, IIRC.

I tried doing an observed FTP table, but still had to do a Stars layout from scratch. This was many months ago, fwiw.

Yeah, do as fozzy said...You need to play a hand at stars to get POH to recognize the table. So you can go to a microstakes 6 max table (or whatever size you want), play a hand and then sit out. Configure at your leisure then.

POH sees FTP observed hands so you can configure your FTP layouts without sitting in, but they won't move over to Stars. Since the positioning of the seats is different, I needed to allow for different layouts on a per site basis.

OK, I've been playing with this some. It has a few quirks, but I am going to go ahead and buy it because it is the only thing on the market right now that lets one have different stats for different games/table sizes/etc.

The themes thing is exactly what I want. If you ever start developing this again, I can give you a lot of feed back (like make an off line editor for layouts). I can't believe more people are not clamoring for this; I guess most people just play one game all the time, but I play HUNL, 6maxNL, 6maxLHE, PLO, and few others from time to time (oh, and occasionally tournies and STT's). Man if you supported PTO I would be positively orgasmic.

I actually started PT2 and PTO support a few weeks ago mostly because I'm playing a lot of Omaha, but my other project took priority. If I get a few more people asking for it, I will probably add it and it won't take very long. I may add it anyway. I just wish PTO supported more of the advanced third party generation stats (3 bet, etc). I guess we'll have to wait for PEV (or the new open source tracker) for that.

I have played <50 hands of NLHE this month. I am not playing a lot of Omaha, but I play WAY more PLO than I do NLHE now. I would love PTO support, but RTHUD works pretty good for me, for my few hands I play.

Once Badugi launches tho, I will likely play even less PLO.

Hi,

I tried to register on the pokerobserver forum but the activation email didn't arrive (i tried it with 2 diff emails)

Anyway, I was wondering if you could add the following stats to the popup section:
Bet Flop
Bet Turn
Bet River
Fold to flop bet
Fold to turn bet
Fold to river bet
Check-raise flop

Also could you add a seperator to the popup stats? (like a line to divide groups of stats into sections)

Thanks
