Hey SixthSense,

Glad to see the direction the program is heading, I've been using it the past few days and really like it. I think someone else mentioned this, but it would be nice if when you select a table, the "Players" listing showed each player's stack size next to their name (not sure how easy this would be to implement).

I think a couple of table filters like in PTS would help a ton, such as table average pot and number of players with data. I'm having a hard time finding good tables tonight.. either only 1 or 2 players have decent data or the table has no action..

Anyone else getting the following error when they try to request a password or refresh the table list?

Error: Socket Error # 10051 -- Network is unreachable

I already Emailed Ben about it, just thought it would be helpful to him to know if anyone else is experiencing this.
Do you require an HTTP proxy to access the Internet? That might be it. Also, if you have some firewall software or ZoneAlarm and blocked SS, you might also see that error.
YES, I do need an HTTP proxy to connect on my school's wireless network. So what's the solution?

I emailed Ben the following, but will post it here in case some tech geek knows the answer:

Hi again...here's a little more info for you that might help you diagnose my problem...although I'm not sure how much time you want to spend catering to my individual situation.

So I googled the error that I keep getting, and check this page out...it looks like an error that's generated when my ISP blocks a certain port

http://www.bookmark-master.com/socket-error-10051.html

Now I didn't really know what that meant, but it jogged my memory to something I saw just yesterday when I was setting up my internet account with my school here in Australia (just got here yesterday). The following may or may not mean anything to you, but I'll copy it here. I have to connect to my school's wireless computer network using a VPN client...here's a snippet from the installation instruction web page that might have something to do with my problem, but note that I've tried the below both with and without the extra "!10" and it doesn't make SS work:

The Cisco Systems VPN Client we provide is preconfigured to log into our VPN host using a number of different profiles. Which one you use depends on how you connect your computer to the physical network which links it to our servers.

wireless

This profile should be used when connecting to the Wireless Network. Wireless users must connect via VPN to use any resources apart from secure university sites.

If you want to access external mail servers using a mail client, or chat programs such as MSN Messenger using the wireless profile then you need to use your login followed by !10 (abcd1234!10) when you authenticate, this gives you a 10 network address just like you are dialing in through the modem pool.
You will need to use the Usyd web-proxy when using VPN with the wireless profile.

Within a day or two I will release a new version of SS that has HTTP proxy support. Note, you will have to manually enter the proxy settings. You should be able to get these from your ISP.

This has been added to the todo list. Thanks for the suggestion, keep them coming.

Got the password now and have the software working. It is VERY nice. I liked PTS alot, but this is definitely better. It's really fast. I might very well be willing to pay $30/month for this.

A few things:
* I don't think there is a way to filter stats by number of players. For instance, when looking at 6max-tables, you only want stats from games with 6 players, not full ring. This is important!
* A "shark" list working the same way as the buddy list would be great. Some regulars you DON'T want to play against.
* Being able to add yourself to the waitlist of a full table from sixth sense instead of having to open up the table first would be very convenient.
* Ability to filter out what tables are listed. For instance, you probably don't want to see tables where you are already seated or where there are 0 players
* Importing the buddy list directly from party would be nice. This is not important though.

Great product though!

Oh, also stack sizes would be nice.

And the sorting should not be undone each time you refresh.

These have all gone on the todo list. Thanks.

As for the "Shark" list, you can use the Buddy list, but put in a negative number for their Buddy score.

Automatically joining the waitlists, table filters, and importing the buddy list will be implemented hopefully soon.

Same for the stack sizes and not undoing the sorting.

The thing w/ sharks is I actually want one or two tighties at my tables to my left, so scoring won't accomplish the same thing. It'd ideally be a table filter on a custom storing category.

But I wouldn't worry about it right now - it's a nice to have feature relatively few players would use, not a must have.

Some thoughts I have:

1. Importing Party buddylist. I know this has been mentioned but I just want to make sure you get around to doing it.
2. You misspelt 'update' as 'udpate'.

You're right. Didn't realize you could set different numbers for different buddies. This would work for me.

It seems slightly annoying that buddy and custom user scoring are separate so that you have to change sorting to find all good tables score-wise and buddy-wise. Perhaps you could add the buddy-score in the filters for custom user scoring?

Thanks, that's a good idea, I'll put it on the list.

I just wanted to say thanks for this great program. I will definitely be paying when it launches.

The support has been great, and Ben fixed a problem I had very quickly.

Keep up the good work!

- The Proxy settings must be entered manually, its not possible to automatically configure them
- Added: menu items to Table Popup to Open Table and open Top 12 Tables
- Added: menus to Table Popup for Table Filter and Clear Filter
- Table filter (CTRL-R) uses expression syntax, e.g. NUMPLAYERS > 0

Score -1000, and filter on BuddyScore > -500
- Added: more Advanced Options (CTRL-O)
- Auto Restore Table Filter - restores last table filter on startup
- Auto Show History File - shows history file when version changes
- Added: BuddyScore and ChipStackBB as Player Stats for Custom Rules

Question about custom scoring:
What happens if several categories match a player? It seems to me like the first one is chosen. In that case, it would be nice if you could re-arrange the order of the categories.

Thanks for your hard work and the quick releases. Your coding fingers seem to be on fire right now

I just downloaded this today and am enjoying playing around with it. I do have a few questions though.

-How often does this refresh without hitting the Refresh button?
-I notice that sometimes it is lagging behind 20-30 hands behind what I have in PT for stats on opponents I am seated with, is there a way for me to change the frequency of refresh to keep it more up to date?
-Even when I hit refresh, the hands recently stored in PT do not come up, atleast not often. It might update every 15min or so, what can i do to change that?

My PT stats are a bit lacking for what I'd like to use this for, obviously the more HH's I gather, the more effective it will be. However, I am enjoying it thus far. I'd just like to find a few optimizations before it goes Beta and I consider paying for it.

Thanks for all the help!

Your lobby does not refresh at all unless you hit the refresh button.

You can use the clear cache option to clear the player stat cache and re-load and refresh it. This will make it run slower though, because it will have to re-calculate all of the players stats every time you do it.

I would definitely suggest datamining to you. Look (or do a search) for threads in this forum about FPHG or iWitness. This will help you build your database and get statistics on more opponents.

hehe thanks. Yes that's correct, the first rule would fire. It does need some buttons for rearranging them, I'll put that on the list. Thanks.

This sounds like you have an old version of the Postgres OLE DB driver. SS installs this for you automatically. One thing to try: shutdown ALL applications, then reinstall SS.

After doing this open up your Windows\System32 directory, and file the file PgOleDB.dll. Right click it for properties, click on the version tab. It should read "1.0.0.20". If its something different there is something going wrong during installation.
