Bar, are you still working on this one or has it been abandoned?

***DISCLAIMER - this will be a commercial mod when it's finished***

I've been working on a new note taking system for awhile, and I've been testing it out the past week or so. I find it enormously helpful. I always liked the idea of being able to "label" players based on their playing style. Using a color system is good, but I find using an actual image that visually describes the villian's stye to be much better.

I've always been mainly a tournament player, but I'm trying to play more cash games now and I'm realizing just how important it is to quickly identify the fish/donks to isolate them or try to get involved in pots when they are in the blinds. It's also very helpful to identify the other playing styles to react accordingly.

What I've done with this mod is to utilize the default Avatar images from FTP and replace the note icons (rank diodes) with these images so that I can "label" villians with my choosing of the appropriate Avatar.

I found that the racetrack view is more suitable for this system. Because clicking "Display Avatars" on the options menu shifts the players names and stack size to the left, creating plenty of room for the rank diodes. I then simply removed the default FTP avatar images and shifted the rank diodes to appear in the player pods as avatar images.

Take a look at the image below to see the player pods I created with the avatar images as the note symbols.

Notice the arrow in the screenshot. You will actually be able to see the avatars in the note dropdown box. The table and background will not be included in the final mod. But, it's available for free in a previous post I made ITT. Also note that although I'm using the racetrack view, it's easy to create a "classic view" feel by replacing the racetrack table with a round table.

Here is a key for how I utilize this system by player type.

This system will definitely help with good table selection (it's the reason I created it). A letter will appear in the lobby to represent the "label" you've given players. Examples: F = Fish, D = Donk, C = Chicken, etc

A+

Great idea and you picked the perfect avatars to use! Love the chicken, Ivey, etc.

Do you think there's any possible way to assign these icons based on database stats, or will it most likely have to be done manually?

There might be a way, but I sure wouldn't have a clue. But, you'd be surprised how quickly you'll have a large percentage of the player database at a given level "labeled" after just a couple weeks.

Someone tell me is there any easy way to turn a white background on an image to a black one using Paint or whatever (without having to get in there with my e-paintbrush and paint all the way around the border).

I'm hoping to find some pods that don't have such a bulky timer at the bottom (critical HUD space). I'm going to go back through this thread and see if there are any active links. If anybody else has some, please let me know. Even if they are commercial I can ship a few bucks.

If you are going for simple, maybe these will work. I removed the gloss and switched it to a smaller timer.

not good enough to be commercial, but this is my FTP setup: the timer is at the top: http://www.screencast.com/users/WILN...9-ba6379afb11c

Sooo perfect!

I'm a noob at some of this stuff, but I'm trying to create a theme for myself that is (1) simple to allow for ease of multitabling (2) fun (3) organized and easy on the eyes.

Here's where I'm at right now:
