Just to quickly address this, there are no plans that I am aware of to charge anyone for threads. The stickies are sort of paid for, but not really - any advertiser's thread is to be stickied at no charge in the commercial subforum.

The reason only mods can make threads in there is twofold - firstly so they don't get cluttered by noobs posting new threads for simple questions or off topic, secondly so any new thread can get a bit of exposure/traction being listed in the main forum for a little while before it gets moved to the appropriate place.

Quicksilver is right, Any commercial mod artist can have a thread in there e.g. "FTP Mods by Tiltbuster". Just make one and I'll move it over. Problem is ideally I want to contact all commercial modder and have them know they need to make a thread and post in it, I don't wanna just lock this up and have people confused or pissed off. Also I wanna do some stuff to kickstart a Free thread but that may just be too much work for now lol.

Once it is all set up it should be better for commercial modders. As someone said above they'll have a thread to showcase/support only their available work, that will come up in searches etc. There's no reason you guys shouldn't also participate in the free thread, it is probably a good idea to do so given that it would drive viewers to your own commercial thread if they like what they see. It is fine for you to post if say you make a free theme pack for FTP you are giving away, by all means post it in the free thread. But keep posts of commercial works in your own commercial thread. All will be hunkydory. I hope

for a better understanding... (english isn´t my native language) this doesn´t mean i have to do so cause you cannot really force me, but i have to if i want to stay at 2+2 as a designer of comercial mods , right?

ideally you would have talked to us before making those decisions...

i don´t need a thread for my own only. i have a website where my catalog is and where i sell my products. i came to 2+2 for talking to fellow designers nad potential customers. i contributed to this thread and in reward 2+2 had the benefit of it since many others did the same, which produce a lot of clicks.

because it´s only a question of time until the first designer is making his own thread now you force me to make a concept for showing a catalog within a thread. being honest, i have no clue how this should work in a usefull way since i have no possibilities to link within a thread or make changes to it because i´m limited to a 30 minutes grace period for editing.

my day has only 24h. i have a job, a familiy, a son, a dog, many friends and hobbies. i don´t have the time and also i don´t want to follow a douzen of threads in different subforums in the future for the same amount of information. i cannot see the benefits you described. this thread growed and produced the large amount of clicks because it is a unique collection of ftp mods. everybody has benefits out of this thread. you don´t want that people feeling pissed!? - well beeing honest, if i would be fozzy or bar i would be pissed about the countless hours they have contributed to this forum. so i´m only vvolf and i only have a few more than 50 postings. this gives me the possibility to relax and laugh from now on...

so i have one last question...

as i have no time to manage my own thread and considering the fact that i make comercial mods what are you going to do with my postings now?

A thread for 'ftp mods by ... ' and a thread for 'pokerstars mods by ... ' ? Or one thread for each commercial graphics mods site? I think the latter makes more sense.

2. ffs stop it with the glare (aka "gel effect") on cards

agree about the "glare" i always remove the glare first thing i do=)
i like the cards simple as possible the most important is the colors i think and that new bar deck seems to have great colors, the glare is easy to get rid of luckily.

This is an awesome thread. But, sadly, I realize I will have to read through another 6k+ posts to just find the simple stuff I want. In other words, not only am I a freeloader, but I'm also lazy.

Anyone put together a list of the mods, or something simple that a lazy freeloader like myself could go through?

All I want is the following:
1) a completely plain background (black, white, or gray)
2) simple cards akin to those on Stars (that still work on HEM)
3) for the "pot" button to actually make the bet the size of the pot and not some weird variation of it
4) automatically calling time out
5) simple full-sized display of villain's cards

Help a brotha* out.

P.S. It would be funny to post something that got the cards wrong so that people other than me would download it and think they had aces when they had 66.



*I do have a sister, so at least I'm an honest lazy freeloader.
