Just a little update.

We have added support for the PlayTech network which includes Titan, CD, and Noble Poker.

Good luck at the tables!

Any chance of adding the nl $20 tables on titan?, I tried searching the nl $25 but it brings up no responses.

Great site by the way.

See you have already done this. Thanks

I see that you're doing this now. Thanks.

Yes, some sort of small local app that the user could install that queries tableratings.com, displays the results and provides a way to automatically get on the wait list or open selected tables would be awesome. Not that it can't be done obviously, but it's annoying to have to go to tableratings.com, refresh your search, wait for the result, go to the poker client, find the table, get on the waitlist, all while playing a bunch of other tables.

This would probably take quite a bit of work for you, but it would be sweet.

Any chance to make the poker clients intercept the table links?

EDIT: nvm, it seems i can actually scan tables without being logged in now.

The problem started again. For the last few weeks ive been able to scan tables without being logged in, but now i get the message asking me to log in when i try scan a table. When i log in it just auto logs me out again 2 seconds later. Cookies arent enabled so i dont think thats the problem.

I think that is the problem.

Not Having cookies enabled is most likely the problem. Try enabling cookies and see if it works.

Have followed the thread for quite some time and know that PokerStars support has been requested frequently. But don't remember whether or not you wanted to support it in the future.

Could you email info@tableratings.com and let us know what browser we are using? We also might have some additional questions to get this sorted out.

My ISP is AOL. I just tried logging in using internet explorer instead of AOL and hey presto, it worked. Went back to AOL and couldnt log in again. So it looks like AOL is messing things up. So long as i use internet explorer in future i should be fine. Thanks for the replies.

Edit: saw your post, email sent

One more thing guys.

All these ratings are good and all. But please account for stacksizes. Its not much fun sitting at a table full of tags and one crazy fish who only has a couple of dollars left. Same with a shortstacked fish pond. I probably would not give any rating for a fish with less that 50BB. On the other hand a deep fish is something to very much consider about

I think some of this is going to make the games harder in the long run IMO

Agreed. Tool does look cool though

We are looking at considering stack size. To do so we are going to need to make some major changes but it is definitely something we are considering for the future.

Other thing to consider, now that people are using this, any tables near the top of the list have wait lists of 5+ people now. Sux, but it limits the usefulness seriously as more people start using it. Of course, I'm sure you guys will start charging money for this soon, so that will fix things somewhat.

For those of you that were able to run searches before getting to confirmation email did you eventually get the email? The way it is set up the emails should be instant.

Dave
I did not recieve an e-mail confirmation. I have sent 4 e-mails to info@tableratings.com but I don´t get any respons. It was 2 weeks ago since I applied for an account...

I have to agree completely. This is a tool that suffers under it's own success. As soon as you have just a few sharks in using it, and getting on the list in front of you, it's usefulness plummets.

I like the idea, tho, and it seems well implemented.

any chance you could add UB?
02-03-2008 , 03:14 PM
I have a few suggestions for tweaking your algorithm, let me know what you think:

1. VPIP is currently not adjusted for # of players at the table when the money was put in the pot, I don't think. I've noticed that 6max tables with only 5 players are sometimes rated higher than they should be. I suspect this is because they recently only had 3 or 4 players, so the VPIP was artificially high.

2. Long term losers: do they really exist? In my pokertracker DB, the biggest losers seem to go busto fast and disappear forever. If you rate all players with less than a set number of hands as neutral, you're doing your ratings a disservice. A player with a small number of hands in your DB, particularly if he has a high VPIP, is almost GUARANTEED to be a fish. Probably even moreso than a guy with 1000 hands of losing poker. It might actually be easiest to just penalize tables with long-term winners at them. Regardless, a new player who you've never datamined before has a high probability of being a fish, even if you know nothing else about them.

Swedebubba,

Have you tried looking in your spam mail box? Sometimes the emails get placed in there.
