How much do you discount a player's rating based on how many hands you have for them? Especially with the "tendency of the players at the table to be winners or losers" rating, we all know that good players can have downswings for thousands of hands. Thus, I'm concerned that rating a player based on their earnings will produce inaccurate results.

This is something we have thought about. We only give a positive rating or negative rating if the player in question is what we call a long term winner or a long term looser. We need a substantial number of hands to place them in one of these categories. The number we use is not large enough for us to give different ratings based upon different win/loss rates but its enough to nail down a basic trend.

Perhaps it might be a good idea to remove this rating if the player is barely winning or loosing over any number of hands since a small win or loss rate would not be statistically significant unless we had a huge amount of data on that player. What do you think?

It seems to me that the effect that the winner/loser rating has should be determined by the number of hands you have for the player. For example, if you have 50 hands for a player at -10bb/100 this should result in adding a negligible positive rating, but if you have 10,000 hands on a player at -10bb/100 this should result in adding a significant positive rating.

A couple of little suggestions:
1. Add a "keep me logged in" option.
2. Search by table seats, not players seated. The way you have it now, when I search for "3-6 player" tables, I'm intending to get 6 max tables, not 9 handed tables that have 6 players seated.
3. Allow searching by a range of stakes. I like to play a couple of different stakes, depending on how good the tables are, plus some of the sites have other stake levels that you don't include (FTP deep stack tables).
4. If nothing else, please include the "Cap NL" label in the table name so we can tell without going to the lobby and finding out that it's a cap table.

Thanks.

jschell,

Thanks for all the suggestions. We will definitly keep all those things in mind for our second round of development. We are working up a list of things we want to add now, so any other suggestions from anyone who is using the site would be appreciated.

if you are able to do the "keep me logged in" function. could you also add a "remember last search" function.

I pretty much play the same stakes/do the same search every time i log in.

A "Last Search Function" and a "Keep me logged in" function are good ideas. We will look into adding both of them

It actually looks very nice. You certainly need support for stars, ipoker and ongame. And make the table links clickable somehow so that the gameclient can intercept it.

- add 25/50NL
- p.s. what does registering/logging in do that is not possible by just searching as a "guest"?

When you are not logged in you are only allowed 5 searches. Once you have logged in the number of searches you can run is unlimited.

Which site are we missing 25/50 for?

Added a last search option. You can find it as the first item under "Popular Searches"

Also added NL 25/50 and NL 2/3

Last search link is awesome thanks Dave!

Any plans to add Absolute?

We are looking into adding additional sites. The more requests we get for a site the higher we will put it on our priority list.

Another suggestion: Sort the table list by rating by default. Seems silly that you develop this whole rating system, then sort by VP$IP by default.
