most poker software works very well. If you're running Boot Camp it works no different than a true Windows machine

I thought in another thread you told someone it was their best option . Do you still feel that way ? I am considering running a hud that way , but don't really want to . I'm using a mac program now . Have you tried both ? I know the mac programs don't offer as many stats .

I use Parallels Desktop and PT3/AHK insta-crashes Parallels sometimes (yes the entire OS just quits itself, and I have to reopen Parallels). Also sometimes the mouse isn't 100% responsive; but nothing bad, it just jerks over a bit.

If I had the choice again I would do Boot Camp. I did use it on my old Macbook and it works a bit better because everything is running natively, if there's a problem with PT3, that will crash and not my whole OS.

honestly haven't tried boot camp yet. from what i understand, i think it makes you dual boot your mac with macos x and windows.

i have some experience wit this before with a linux/windows dual boot set up before on a pc. i'm sure boot camp is pretty much the same as i've already went to the apple website. as long as you have all the drivers for your mac you'll be fine...

this, and if you don't know this to be true then you have to learn more about boot camp.

I know it doesn't support XP SP1 only SP2.

I have been trying to get windows through boot camp for some time but I think my copy of XP is tainted or something. I get the install screen but it comes up with an error msg after its installed.

I have had no problems with running xp on boot camp. If I remember correctly there is directions for a vista set-up during the setup. I have all of the poker tools from pt3 to poker stove. I has worked very well.

I run Windows XP through bootcamp, and play around six tables or so, using PT3 and a hud without problems (this on a Mac Mini Intel). Just Make sure to allocate plenty of space to the windows drive from the onset (if you plan on accumulating a lot of hand histories), as you can't add more later.
